Model Development for Lattice Properties of Gallium Arsenide Using Parallel Genetic Algorithm

open access: yes, 2011
In the last few years, evolutionary computing (EC) approaches have been successfully used for many real world optimization applications in scientific and engineering areas. One of these areas is computational nanoscience.

Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...

MITF maintains genome stability in nonmelanocyte lineages

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
MITF is essential for melanocyte survival and acts as an oncogene in 10%–20% of melanomas. We show that MITF depletion causes genome instability in nonmelanocytic cells, leading to LATS2‐mediated P53 activation, cell cycle arrest, and apoptosis. This study highlights the role of MITF as a genome maintenance factor beyond the melanocyte lineage. Created

An efficient algorithm for managing a parallel heap

open access: yes, 2010
We design a cost-optimal algorithm for managing a parallel heap on an exclusive-read exclusive-write (EREW), parallel random access machine (PRAM) model.

A novel quinazolinone insulin receptor inhibitor and its synergy with an EGFR inhibitor in glucose‐driven glioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

A Parallel Algorithm for Dividing Octonions

open access: yes, 2021
The article presents a parallel hardware-oriented algorithm designed to speed up the division of two octonions. The advantage of the proposed algorithm is that the number of real multiplications is halved as compared to the naive method for implementing ...

An implementation of a parallel global minimum search algorithm with an application to the ReaxFF molecular dynamic force field parameters optimization [PDF]

open access: yesКомпьютерные исследования и моделирование, 2015
Molecular dynamic methods that use ReaxFF force field allow one to obtain sufficiently good results in simulating large multicomponent chemically reactive systems.

Patient therapy outcome modeling in cancer organoids is improved by cancer‐associated fibroblasts and organoid assembly convolution

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Patient‐derived organoids (PDOs) from pancreatic, colorectal, and gastric cancers were used to evaluate standard and experimental therapies. Incorporating cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) into organoid cultures improved patient therapy outcome prediction.

Software-based fault-tolerant routing algorithm in multidimensional networks [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Massively parallel computing systems are being built with hundreds or thousands of components such as nodes, links, memories, and connectors. The failure of a component in such systems will not only reduce the computational power but also alter the ...

Two Algorithms for Constructing Independent Spanning Trees in (n,k)-Star Graphs

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
In a graph $G$ , two spanning trees $T_{1}$ and $T_{2}$ are rooted at the same vertex $r$ . If, for every $v \in V(G)$ , the paths from $v$ to the root $r$ in $T_{1}$ and $T_{2}$ are internally vertex-disjoint, they are called independent ...
