Vitally stained kappa in Paramecium aurelia
Journal of Experimental Zoology, 1965AbstractPurified kappa particles stained with methylene blue were placed into fluid containing paramecia. The vitally stained kappa quickly aggregated in food vacuoles of both sensitive and killer animals. A few filamentous projections were observed protruding into the cytoplasm from vacuoles containing kappa.

Behavioral Mutants of Paramecium Aurelia
1973A Paramecium can be viewed as a eucaryotic organism capable of behavior, but it can also be regarded as a unicell comparable to excitable cells, such as hair cells, neurons, etc. in multicellular forms. The genetics of behavior in Paramecium aurelia makes use of both its organismic and cellular properties.

Differential genic activity in Paramecium aurelia
Journal of Experimental Zoology, 1967AbstractAn autoradiographic analysis of macromolecular syntheses in the micronucleus of Paramecium aurelia was undertaken to discover whether the micronucleus was completely inert. There is a distinctive temporal ordering of micronuclear macromolecular synthesis during the fission cycle.
