Comparative Evaluation of Hemodiafiltration, Hemoperfusion, and Standard Hemodialysis on Efficacy, Inflammatory Control, Dialysis Adequacy, and Safety in End‐Stage Renal Disease: A Prospective Observational Study

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Chronic micro‐inflammation in patients with end‐stage renal disease (ESRD) is a significant driver of cardiovascular complications and diminished quality of life. While standard hemodialysis (SHD) effectively manages small‐molecule clearance, its ability to remove medium‐to‐large uremic toxins—the primary catalysts of systemic ...

ScannerS: parameter scans in extended scalar sectors

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2022
We present the public code ScannerS–2 that performs parameter scans and checks parameter points in theories beyond the Standard Model (BSM) with extended scalar sectors.

Forecasting the Dialysis Burden in Japan: Validation‐Based Projections of Prevalence and Incidence Through 2050

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Japan has one of the highest dialysis prevalence rates worldwide and a shrinking, aging population. Whether dialysis burden has entered a sustained post‐peak phase or whether recent declines partly reflect pandemic‐related disruptions remains uncertain.

Thermodynamic constraints and observational validation of the deceleration parameter

open access: yesNuclear Physics B
In this work, we propose a two-parameter parametrization for the deceleration parameter q(z) grounded in thermodynamic constraints and applied it to explore the evolution of the universe.

A Penalized Likelihood Approach to Parameter Estimation with Integral Reliability Constraints

open access: yesEntropy, 2015
Stress-strength reliability problems arise frequently in applied statistics and related fields. Often they involve two independent and possibly small samples of measurements on strength and breakdown pressures (stress).

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Optimal Formation Trajectory-Planning Using Parameter Optimization Technique [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Astronomy and Space Sciences, 2004
Some methods have been presented to get optimal formation trajectories in the step of configuration or reconfiguration, which subject to constraints of collision avoidance and final configuration.

A Nonlinear Multigrid Method for the Parameter Identification Problem of Partial Differential Equations with Constraints

open access: yesMathematics, 2022
In this paper, we consider the parameter identification problem of partial differential equations with constraints. A nonlinear multigrid method is introduced to the process of parameter inversion.

Modelling stem cell differentiation related processes—A practical overview for biologists

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Stem cell differentiation is complex and difficult to control experimentally. This review introduces suitable computational modelling approaches that can support stem cell research, from mechanistic ODE and abstract models to multiscale and deep learning methods.
