Parameter extraction by parallel neural networks

Intelligent Data Analysis, 2001
This paper presents a combined wavelet – neural networks model to extract damping coefficients and modal frequency values from flight flutter data. Wavelet transform is introduced, not only it is used to filter noise from the original raw data, but it is applied so that the original multi-mode signal is decomposed into a sequence of single-mode signals.

Improving sigma-lognormal parameter extraction

2015 13th International Conference on Document Analysis and Recognition (ICDAR), 2015
A fully automatic framework based on the kinematic theory of rapid human movements was recently introduced for analyzing and modeling complex human movements patterns such as those involved in handwriting. In this paper, we present a new approach to better extract and estimate the lognormal primitives and parameters.

Optimized Extraction of MOS Model Parameters

IEEE Transactions on Computer-Aided Design of Integrated Circuits and Systems, 1982
A common problem faced by designers in simulating MOS circuits is the specification of model parameters. Typical parameter extraction procedures determine parameters sequentially, ignoring many of the interactions between parameters. The resulting fit of the model to measured data may be less than optimum.

Extraction of pertinent parameters in oceanographic data

Proceedings of ICASSP '94. IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech and Signal Processing, 2002
The purpose of this publication is to present a new technique for processing bathythermic profiles in order to extract pertinent oceano-acoustic points which characterise each considered area. The proposed approach, based on standard signal processing and post-processing techniques, brings the advantage to be general, no matter the considered ...

Extraction of Dispersion Parameters

2016
As demonstrated previously, the propagation of waves in distributed and discrete periodic structures can be described by a set of dispersion parameters such as wavenumber and Bloch impedance or by effective material parameters. In this chapter, different methods to obtain these parameters from a given geometry are introduced and investigated.

Parameter Extraction of ECG Using Labview

2018 15th International Multi-Conference on Systems, Signals & Devices (SSD), 2018
The electrocardiogram presents the electrical activity of the heart, which informs about the condition of the heart muscle. The interpretation and diagnostic of this signal lead to detect various cardiac abnormalities and diseases, for that the feature extraction and the denoising are very useful in cardiology.

On the extraction of the design parameters of power BJTs

2017 International Conference on Control, Automation and Diagnosis (ICCAD), 2017
In this paper, in order to decouple the design parameters of power bipolar junction transistors during their extraction, our work focuses on the study of the variation effect of the design parameters on the static and dynamic characteristics of the power BJT. Indeed, an attempt is made to assign a specific characteristic to each design parameter, which

Decomposition-based model parameter extraction

Proceedings of ISCAS'95 - International Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2002
This paper presents a decomposition-based approach to model parameter extraction. The new parameter extraction technique combines virtues of sequential regression and full optimization approaches. Extraction of the SPICE2 BJT model parameters illustrates concepts and advantages of the proposed method.

OFDM Modulation Classification and Parameters Extraction

2006 1st International Conference on Cognitive Radio Oriented Wireless Networks and Communications, 2006
A novel comprehensive classification system is proposed for recognizing the orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) signal and extracting its parameters. An empirical distribution function -based Gaussianity test technique is first applied to distinguish OFDM from single carrier modulations.
