Lag Quasi-Synchronization of Coupled Delayed Systems With Parameter Mismatch

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems I: Regular Papers, 2011
This paper is concerned with lag synchronization of two coupled delayed systems with parameter mismatch. Due to parameter mismatch, complete lag synchronization can not be achieved. Therefore, a new lag quasi-synchronization scheme is proposed to ensure that coupled systems are in a state of lag synchronization with an error level.

The Effect of Parameter Mismatches in RF VCO

2008 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems (ISCAS), 2008
We investigate the effect of the parameter mismatches on the oscillation frequency of a popular voltage controlled oscillator, whose behavior is schematized by a system of two mutually coupled oscillators. A perturbation analysis of this system is carried out using the method of two time scale.

Parameter mismatch estimation in a parallel interleaved ADC

2009 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2009
In this paper we propose a novel method for estimating the gain, DC offset and sample timing mismatches between component ADCs in a Parallel Interleaved ADC. We propose the use of a reference ADC, operating at a lower rate, that precludes the need for any calibration period. The reference ADC is clocked using a novel scheme to provide reference samples

Automated identification of parameter mismatches in web applications

Proceedings of the 16th ACM SIGSOFT International Symposium on Foundations of software engineering, 2008
Quality assurance techniques for web applications have become increasingly important as web applications have gained in popularity and become an essential part of our daily lives. To integrate content and data from multiple sources, the components of a web application communicate extensively among themselves.

Anticipating Synchronization of Chaotic Systems with Parameter Mismatch

2008 The 9th International Conference for Young Computer Scientists, 2008
This paper studies the effect of parameter mismatch on anticipating synchronization of chaotic systems in the framework of master-slave configuration. We estimate the error bound of anticipating synchronization by rigorously theoretical analysis. Numerical simulations are presented to verify the theoretical results.

A physical approach to mismatch modelling and parameter correlations

2000 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems. Emerging Technologies for the 21st Century. Proceedings (IEEE Cat No.00CH36353), 2002
The currently available first order mismatch models cannot explain many of the observed effects. The physical modelling approach described in this paper leads to a deeper understanding and gives a very precise description of actual mismatch behaviour including parameter correlations in a closed form.

Chaos quasisynchronization induced by impulses with parameter mismatches

Chaos: An Interdisciplinary Journal of Nonlinear Science, 2006
This paper studies the effect of parameter mismatch on the impulsive synchronization of a class of coupled chaotic systems. A new definition for global quasisynchronization is introduced and used to analyze the synchronous behavior of coupled chaotic systems in the presence of parameter mismatch.

Parameter mismatches and oscillation death in coupled oscillators

Chaos: An Interdisciplinary Journal of Nonlinear Science, 2010
We use a set of qualitatively different models of coupled oscillators (genetic, membrane, Ca-metabolism, and chemical oscillators) to study dynamical regimes in the presence of small detuning. In particular, we focus on a distinct oscillation quenching mechanism, the oscillation death phenomenon.

On the universal misfit parameter at mismatched interfaces

Scripta Materialia, 2001
Abstract A general expression for an universal misfit parameter explored in the epitaxy of dissimilar materials, is derived. This universal parameter accounts both for crystal lattice mismatch and elastic dissimilarity of constituent phases. The application of the proposed approach to epitaxy of cubic metals growing on (0 0 1) SrTiO 3 , is discussed.

The effect of parameter mismatches on the output waveform of an LC‐VCO

International Journal of Circuit Theory and Applications, 2009
AbstractThe effect of parameter mismatches on the output waveforms of a popular voltage‐controlled oscillator is investigated, schematizing the circuit as a system of two mutually coupled oscillators, whose describing equations are derived in a perturbation form.
