Automated tuning for the parameters of linear solvers
Robust iterative methods for solving large sparse systems of linear algebraic equations often suffer from the problem of optimizing the corresponding tuning parameters. To improve the performance of the problem of interest, specific parameter tuning is required, which in practice can be a time-consuming and tedious task.

Screening Routine Clinical Notes for Epilepsy Surgery Candidates Using Large Language Models
ABSTRACT Objective Epilepsy surgery is severely underutilized despite proven efficacy, with substantial under‐referral of eligible patients in routine clinical practice. This study evaluated the potential role of large language models (LLMs) as decision‐support tools for screening unstructured clinical notes to identify epilepsy surgery candidates and ...

Artificial Bee Colony Algorithm Improved with Evolutionary Operators
In this paper, we design, implement, and analysis the replacement of the method to create new solutions in artificial bee colony algorithm by recombination operators, since the original method is similar to the recombination process used in evolutionary ...

A Two‐Stage Questionnaire and Actigraphy Screening for iRBD in a Multicenter Retrospective Cohort
ABSTRACT Objective Isolated rapid‐eye‐movement sleep behavior disorder is a prodromal marker of synucleinopathies. However, most cases remain undiagnosed due to the insufficient predictive value of questionnaires and limited access to confirmatory video‐polysomnography. We assessed a two‐stage screening strategy combining a brief questionnaire on rapid‐

Long‐Term Neurologic Exam Findings in People Diagnosed and Treated During Acute HIV Infection
ABSTRACT Objective Evaluate clinical and laboratory correlates of abnormal neurologic exam findings after acute HIV infection (AHI). Methods Participants from the RV254/SEARCH 010 cohort in Bangkok underwent standardized neurologic examinations at Weeks 0 (AHI), 12, 96, and 288 following antiretroviral therapy (ART).

Distributed parameter tuning for genetic algorithms
Genetic Algorithms (GA) is a family of search algorithms based on the mechanics of natural selection and biological evolution. They are able to efficiently exploit historical information in the evolution process to look for optimal solutions or approximate them for a given problem, achieving excellent performance in optimization problems that involve a

Parameter-tuning networks: Experiments and active-walk model [PDF]
The tuning process of a large apparatus of many components could be represented and quantified by constructing parameter-tuning networks. The experimental tuning of the ion source of the neutral beam injector of the HT-7 Tokamak is presented as an ...
