A note on the Bandwidth choice when the null hypothesis is semiparametric [PDF]
This work presents a tool for the additivity test. The additive model is widely used for parametric and semiparametric modeling of economic data. The additivity hypothesis is of interest because it is easy to interpret and produces reasonably fast ...

The estimation of number of bootstrap replications for the parametric bootstrap
The problem of number of parametric bootstrap replications that are necessary to realizace at bias estimation is solved in this paper. It shows results of simulations demonstrating extent of error that we can cause at different number of bootstrap replications.

We present a chromosome‐level genome assembly of Siraitia grosvenorii and, through comparative genomics, uncover a conserved UGT73 tandem array driving triterpenoid saponin diversification in Cucurbitaceae. Crystalized SgUGT73AM30 further reveals the regioselectivity mechanism underlying its catalytic activity.

Assessing Variable Importance for Best Subset Selection
One of the primary issues that arises in statistical modeling pertains to the assessment of the relative importance of each variable in the model. A variety of techniques have been proposed to quantify variable importance for regression models.

INTRODUCING MODEL UNCERTAINTY IN TIME SERIES BOOTSTRAP [PDF]
It is common in parametric bootstrap to select the model from the data, and then treat it as it were the true model. Kilian (1998) have shown that ignoring the model uncertainty may seriously undermine the coverage accuracy of bootstrap confidence ...

An exciting Approach to Theoretical Spectroscopy
ABSTRACT Theoretical spectroscopy, and more generally, electronic‐structure theory, are powerful concepts for describing the complex many‐body interactions in materials. They cover methods from ground‐state properties to lattice excitations and light‐matter interaction, including time‐resolved variants.

The Size and Power of Bootstrap Tests [PDF]
Bootstrap tests are tests for which the significance level is calculated by some sort of bootstrap procedure, which may be parametric or nonparametric. We show that, in many circumstances, the size distortion of a bootstrap P value for a test will be one

Wearable‐derived diurnal alignment between physical activity and device temperature, decomposed into 24 h coupling strength (M24), phase deviation (D24), and 12 h harmonic magnitude (M12), is examined in approximately 90,000 UK Biobank participants.

The information matrix test with bootstrap-based covariance matrix estimation. [PDF]
We propose an information matrix test in which the covariance matrix of the vector of indicators is estimated using the parametric bootstrap. Monte Carlo results and heuristic arguments show that its small sample performance is comparable with that of ...
