Cosmological implications of some parametrization of gravitating hydrodynamics

Annals of Physics, 1990
The purpose of the paper is the application of the so-called material time as a time parameter to cosmology. The general idea of this formalism consists in representation of fluid configurations in the form of mapping \(\phi\) from spacetime into a material manifold, which is four- dimensional.

New parametrization of the Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix and its implications

Physical Review D, 1989
We propose a new parametrization of the quark mixing matrix (the Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix) in terms of four independent moduli of its matrix elements: /vert bar//ital V//sub /ital us///vert bar/, /vert bar//ital V//sub /ital cb///vert bar/, /vert bar//ital V//sub /ital td///vert bar/, and /vert bar//ital V//sub /ital ub///vert bar///vert bar/V/sub cb ...

Parametric Multi-Scale Modeling of the Zygomaticus Major and Minor: Implications for Facial Reanimation

Journal of Craniofacial Surgery, 2021
Abstract Facial paralysis can severely impact functionality and mental health. Facial reanimation surgery can improve facial symmetry and movement. Zygomaticus minor (Zmin) and zygomaticus major (Zmaj) are 2 important perioral muscles, that function to elevate the upper lip, contributing to the formation of a smile.

The dynamics of parametric frequency divider and some of its practical implications

Proceedings of 19th Convention of Electrical and Electronics Engineers in Israel, 2002
The dynamics of a parametric frequency divider is treated rigorously. The complicated process of subharmonic generation is shown to be related to the Mathieu equation. Due to its similarity to the well known RL diode circuit, the system is capable of generating chaos as well as subharmonics.

Toriconical heads: A parametric study of elastic stresses and implications on design

International Journal of Pressure Vessels and Piping, 1984
Abstract A thin shell finite element program is used to investigate the linear elastic behaviour of pressurised toriconical end closures. In particular, a series of design curves is presented which enables maximum stress concentration factors to be predicted for a wide range of geometries. A simple approximate formula is also developed for predicting

Cosmological implications of the Gibbs ensemble in parametrized relativistic classical mechanics

Physical Review A, 1988
Earlier investigators have shown that the free energy of an ideal gas in the ultrarelativistic (UR) regime of parametrized relativistic classical mechanics (PRCM) is different from the free energy calculated with use of the standard theory of relativistic classical mechanics (RCM).

Implications of Inverse Parametric Optimization in Model Predictive Control

2015
Recently, inverse parametric linear/quadratic programming problem was shown to be solvable via convex liftings approach [13]. This technique turns out to be relevant in explicit model predictive control (MPC) design in terms of reducing the prediction horizon to at most two steps.

Sampling the Structure of Convective Turbulence and Implications for Grey-Zone Parametrizations

Boundary-Layer Meteorology, 2016
The grey zone of dry convection is the range of scales in which boundary-layer thermals are partly explicitly resolved by numerical weather prediction (NWP) models and partly parametrized. We seek to determine how thermals are divided into subgrid and resolved scales in the grey zone of convective boundary-layer thermals.

Parametric review of food supply chain performance implications under different aspects

Journal of Advances in Management Research, 2020
PurposePresented work gives comparative review of food supply chain (FSC) under various notions related to its conceptualisation, operationality and technological advancements in lieu with Industry 4.0 revolution. In Indian scenario, the impression of FSC seems in a scattered way that cannot be directly useful for an organisation, to overcome this ...

Parametric Study of Coupled Wall Behavior—Implications for the Design of Coupling Beams

Journal of Structural Engineering, 2004
Coupled walls are known to be efficient lateral load resisting systems; however, the relationship between their global and local behavior is not well understood and has been shown to result in structural systems having excessive internal deformation or strength demands on their component substructures. In order to investigate appropriate parameters for
