Radiotherapy (RT) response depends on the DNA repair capacity of tumor and host cells. We show that circulating tumor cell (CTC) counts and apoptosis rates before and after RT predict treatment response and outcome, which can be accessed via easily accessible liquid biopsy approaches. Analysis of Parametric and Subharmonic Excitation in Push-Pull Driven Disk Resonator Gyroscopes
For micro-electromechanical system (MEMS) resonators, once the devices are fabricated and packaged, their intrinsic quality factors (Q) will be fixed and cannot be changed, which seriously limits the further improvement of the resonator’s performance. In

Parametric Resonance in Immersed Elastic Boundaries
Summary: We investigate the stability of a fluid-structure interaction problem in which a flexible elastic membrane immersed in a fluid is excited via periodic variations in the elastic stiffness parameter. This model can be viewed as a prototype for active biological tissues such as the basilar membrane in the inner ear, or heart muscle fibers ...

The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

Dynamics of a dual-mass resonant vibration screen in a first approximation
The decision on creation of a new energy-efficient vibration screen using combination parametrical resonance is presented. The decision makes it possible to expand functional and operational opportunities of vibration machines.

Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...

The oscillator's model with broken symmetry
The equations of the oscillator motion are considered. The exact solutions are given in the form of exponents with an additional parameter that characterizes the asymmetry of the oscillations.

The Smart Detection of Ship Severe Roll Motions and Decision-Making for Evasive Actions
This paper presents a numerical model for the smart detection of synchronous and parametric roll resonance of a ship. The model implements manoeuvring equations superimposed onto ship dynamics in waves.

Parametric resonance in the early Universe—a fitting analysis [PDF]
Particle production via parametric resonance in the early Universe, is a non-perturbative, non-linear and out-of-equilibrium phenomenon. Although it is a well studied topic, whenever a new scenario exhibits parametric resonance, a full re-analysis is ...

Evolutionary analysis across 32 placental mammals identified positive selection at residues H148 and W149 in the immune receptor FcγR1. Ancestral reconstruction combined with molecular dynamics simulations reveals how these mutations may influence receptor structure and dynamics, providing insight into the evolution of antibody recognition and immune ...
