Bifurcation under parametric excitation of spin waves

Soviet Journal of Low Temperature Physics, 1984
Variation of external parameters is shown to cause a rearrangement of the stationary state of the spin system under the conditions of parametric excitation.

Parametric generation of acoustic waves and mode-locking of spin waves through magnetoelastic coupling

IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 1970
A YIG disk with parallel and polished surfaces was bonded onto a quartz rod with a transducer attached to it. The YIG sample was placed in a microwave cavity in a parallel-pumping configuration. For microwave power several decibels above the threshold for spin-wave instability, parametric generation of low-frequency acoustic waves was observed, and was

Wave Front Reversal of a Dipolar Spin Wave Pulse in a Nonstationary Three-Wave Parametric Interaction

Physical Review Letters, 2000
The effects of wave front reversal and inversion of the time profile are observed experimentally for a dipolar spin wave pulse (carrier frequency omega(1)) interacting in a yttrium-iron garnet film with a weakly localized nonstationary parametric pumping (carrier frequency omega(p) congruent with 2omega(1)) in a three-wave process with conservation law

Parametric excitation of spin waves in strongly anisotropic uniaxial ferrites

Physics of the Solid State, 1999
The thresholds of parametric spin-wave excitation are measured in a Ba2Zn2Fe12O22 easy-plane ferrite at a pumping frequency of 36 GHz in the temperature range from 5 to 350 K at different angles between the external dc magnetic field and the anisotropy axis, where the pumping is, in a general case, oblique.

Parametric excitation of spin waves in a nonlinear magnetostatic resonator

Technical Physics, 2008
A theory of spin wave parametric instability is developed that simultaneously allows for cubic anisotropy and first- and second-order uniaxial anisotropies. The contributions of various anisotropies to a dispersion relation and first-and second-order nonlinearity coefficients are considered.

On the transient and stationary parametric excitation of spin waves

Journal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials, 1999
Abstract Buildup times and the stationary values of spin wave excitations near the Suhl instability threshold are calculated numerically. The study is done in the framework of the two-mode model. The time evolution of the excitation may approach the steady state via oscillations that may last for a very long time.

Parametric Excitation of Spin Waves in Ferromagnets with Domain Structure

physica status solidi (b), 1974
AbstractAn investigation is made of the mechanism of the influence of an rf field on ferromagnets with different domain structures leading to a modulation of the internal effective magnetic field, in which the magnetization vector precesses. The calculations are made for the case when external polarizing magnetic field H0 = 0.

Parametric Excitation of Spin Waves by Voltage-Controlled Magnetic Anisotropy

Physical Review Applied, 2014
The storage and transport of spin currents in spintronic devices are typically controlled by inputs of electrical current. This work instead proposes applying a voltage to excite a propagating spin wave in an ultrathin ferromagnetic heterostructure.

Phase control of nonadiabatic parametric amplification of spin wave packets

Journal of Applied Physics, 2003
The influence of the phase shift between the signal and pumping wave on the process of parametric amplification of microwave spin wave pulses has been examined. The experiment was specifically made in the nonadiabatic regime, where the pumping field is strongly localized in a region on the order of the spin wave carrier wavelength.

Magnonic noise in the parametric spin-wave pumping process

Japanese Journal of Applied Physics
Abstract This study investigates magnonic noise in the context of parametric spin-wave pumping in a yttrium iron garnet waveguide. By analyzing the input power dependence of parametric spin-wave spectra, we observed spectrum broadening and the emergence of additional pumping channels.
