An Inertial Parametric Douglas–Rachford Splitting Method for Nonconvex Problems

open access: yesMathematics
In this paper, we propose an inertial parametric Douglas–Rachford splitting method for minimizing the sum of two nonconvex functions, which has a wide range of applications. The proposed algorithm combines the inertial technique, the parametric technique,

Intraoperative Collection of Ascitic Fluid With Intra‐ or Postoperative Reinfusion in Ovarian Cancer: Safety and Feasibility of a Roller Pumping Method

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Patients with ovarian cancer often present with massive ascites, leading to significant protein loss during surgical procedures. Although cell‐free concentrated ascites reinfusion therapy (CART) is used in palliative settings to mitigate protein loss, its application in intraoperative settings remains unexplored.

Comparison of reliability techniques of parametric and non-parametric method

open access: yesEngineering Science and Technology, an International Journal, 2016
Reliability of a product or system is the probability that the product performs adequately its intended function for the stated period of time under stated operating conditions. It is function of time. The most widely used nano ceramic capacitor C0G and X7R is used in this reliability study to generate the Time-to failure (TTF) data.

Organoids in pediatric cancer research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Organoid technology has revolutionized cancer research, yet its application in pediatric oncology remains limited. Recent advances have enabled the development of pediatric tumor organoids, offering new insights into disease biology, treatment response, and interactions with the tumor microenvironment.

Simulation techniques of Archimedean Copula Estimators: Parametric and Semi-Parametric Approaches

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Mathematics and Statistics, 2021
In this paper, we look at two different approaches methodologies for copula estimation. The first is based on a parametric approach using MLE and IFM methods, while the second is entirely based on Kendall's tau and spearman's rho in a semi-parametric context, where the margins are estimated non-parametrically.

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.
