Wormholes supported by hybrid metric-Palatini gravity [PDF]
Recently, a modified theory of gravity was presented, which consists of the superposition of the metric Einstein-Hilbert Lagrangian with an $f(\cal R)$ term constructed \`{a} la Palatini.

Scalar Field Models: From the Pioneer Anomaly to Astrophysical Constraints
In this work we study how scalar fields may affect solar observables, and use the constraint on the Sun's central temperature to extract bounds on the parameters of relevant models.

Highly conductive topsoils in neotropical high-elevation grassland-dominated ecosystems, or so-called paramos in the Andean region, influence the local rainfall-runoff processes predominated by saturation-excess overland flow as the primary source of ...

Five-dimensional generalized $f(R)$ gravity with curvature-matter coupling [PDF]
The generalized $f(R)$ gravity with curvature-matter coupling in five-dimensional (5D) spacetime can be established by assuming a hypersurface-orthogonal spacelike Killing vector field of 5D spacetime, and it can be reduced to the 4D formulism of FRW ...

Plant species richness was greater in summer in both alpine and subalpine grassland ecosystems. Soil moisture demonstrates significant positive correlations with soil organic carbon and total nitrogen across seasonal periods. Microbial α‐diversity peaks during summer but maintains functional stability across seasons.

Angiosperm flora on the páramos of northwestern Colombia: diversity and affinities
Páramos are high-elevation isolated ecosystems in the Andes characterized by specific flora. This flora includes a number of endemic species and some taxa phylogenetically related to temperate lineages (van der Hammen and Cleef 1986).
