Parazitlerin biyolojileri gereği enfeksiyon meraya çıkan hayvanlarda daha sık görülür. Subklinik seyirli enfeksiyonlar verim kayıplarına neden olabileceği gibi, şiddetli klinik enfeksiyonlarda ölümler görülebilir.
