The Prevalence of Trichomoniasis and Metronidazole Susceptibility of the Isolates in Ghorveh, year 2015

open access: yesپزشکی بالینی ابن سینا, 2016
Introduction & Objective: Trichomoniasis is one of the most common non viral sexually transmitted diseases caused by Trichomonas vaginalis. The aims of this study were to determine the prevalence of the infection and to consider the metronidazole ...

Composites of Shellac and Silver Nanowires as Flexible, Biobased, and Corrosion‐Resistant Transparent Conductive Electrodes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Shellac, a centuries‐old natural resin, is reimagined as a green material for flexible electronics. When combined with silver nanowires, shellac films deliver transparency, conductivity, and stability against humidity. These results position shellac as a sustainable alternative to synthetic polymers for transparent conductors in next‐generation ...

In Vitro Susceptibility of Iranian Isolates of Trichomonas vaginalis to Metronidazole

open access: yesIranian Journal of Parasitology, 2016
Background: Metronidazole, a 5-nitroimidazole derivative, is the main antitrichomonal agent of choice for treatment of trichomoniasis. Since 1962, some cases of treatment failure with metronidazole have been reported and recently drug resistance is now

The accuracy of a recombinant antigen immunochromatographic test for the detection of Strongyloides stercoralis infection in migrants from sub-Saharan Africa

open access: yesParasites & Vectors, 2022
Background Strongyloidiasis, a nematode infection which is mainly caused by Strongyloides stercoralis in humans, can lead to a fatal syndrome in immunocompromised individuals. Its diagnosis is challenging due to the absence of a diagnostic gold standard.

Zwitterionic Self‐Assembled Monolayer for Simultaneous Noise Suppression and Hole Extraction in High‐Performance Near‐Infrared Organic Photodetectors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents a new hole transporting material (HTM) mechanism for self‐assembled monolayers in near‐infrared organic photodetectors. The formation of zwitterions induces a strong electric field that significantly increases the work function of HTM‐coated indium tin oxide substrates. The devices exhibit low dark current and noise, along with high

Comparative study of sensitivity of rapid diagnostic (hexagon) test with calculated malarial parasitic density in peripheral blood.

open access: yesJournal of Nepal Health Research Council, 2013
Different diagnostic test kits are used for rapid diagnosis of malaria. Most are based on antigen detection (pLDH, Pan Aldolase, HRP-2). In context of Nepal the diagnostic reliability and sensitivity of these tests is unknown. Hexagon Malaria Combi™ is one of the most commonly used test kit in Nepal for rapid diagnosis of malaria.

Intermediate Resistive State in Wafer‐Scale Vertical MoS2 Memristors Through Lateral Silver Filament Growth for Artificial Synapse Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In MOCVD MoS2 memristors, a current compliance‐regulated Ag filament mechanism is revealed. The filament ruptures spontaneously during volatile switching, while subsequent growth proceeds vertically through the MoS2 layers and then laterally along the van der Waals gaps during nonvolatile switching.

Current-mode Biquadratic Universal Filter Design with Two Terminal Unity Gain Cells [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
A grounded parallel lossy active inductor and two current-mode (CM) universal filters are presented in this paper. All the circuits use two voltage followers (VFs) and a current follower (CF).
