Barrier‐Assisted Plasma Doping for Spatially Selective Resistance Engineering in MoS2 Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Barrier‐assisted NH3 plasma doping enables damage‐free, spatially selective carrier modulation in monolayer MoS2 transistors. An ultrathin pV3D3/Al2O3 protective‐dielectric stack acts as a chemical filter that allows NHx radicals to reach the MoS2 surface while blocking plasma damage. This process achieves a high electron concentration of 4.3 × 1013 cm−

Electrocatalyst/Semiconductor Interfaces in Photoelectrocatalysts: Mechanistic Analysis of the Impact of Nanoparticle Electrocatalyst Coverage on Performance

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Reducing Ni nanoparticle coverage on n‐Si photoanodes enhances photovoltage by promoting thicker interfacial SiOx formation during photoelectrochemical oxygen evolution reaction (OER). Experiments, analytical modeling, and finite‐element simulations reveal that coverage‐dependent chemical interface evolution, rather than geometric effects alone ...

Comparative Evaluation of Fast Enzyme Linked Immunosorbent Assay (Fast-ELISA) and Standard-ELISA For The Diagnosis Of Human Hydatidosis [PDF]

open access: yesIranian Journal of Public Health, 2006
Fast enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (Fast-ELISA) was compared with the standard ELISA for the diagnosis of human hydatidosis. Seventy serum samples including 30 from hydatidosis patients (surgically confirmed), healthy control individuals not infected

Electrolyte Design for Fast‐Charging Lithium‐Based Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A decade of progress in fast‐charging electrolytes for lithium batteries is reviewed. Electrolyte design strategies spanning solvents, salts, additives, and advanced systems, such as localized high‐concentration electrolytes (LHCEs), are summarized. Advanced diagnostic tools for lithium plating and interphase chemistry are discussed, with perspectives ...

Partially purified Strongyloides ratti antigen improved the diagnostic performance of strongyloidiasis by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) and immunochromatographic test (ICT)

open access: yesMicrobiology Spectrum
Strongyloides stercoralis infection is a neglected tropical disease with a global distribution. Serodiagnosis is a sensitive method, but improving its performance and simplifying into a point-of-care test (POCT) are needed.

Direct Growth of 2D Bilayers on Au(111) for Low‐Coercive Sliding Ferroelectricity

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Controlled CVD growth of stacking‐defined bilayer ReS2 on Au(111) enables parallel‐stacked bilayers with intrinsic sliding ferroelectricity, a strong piezoelectric response, and an ultralow coercive voltage. Atomic‐resolution imaging and in situ measurements further reveal the decisive role of clean interfaces in achieving low‐barrier ferroelectric ...

Accuracy of rapid diagnostic tests for Strongyloides stercoralis detection: a systematic review and meta-analysis

open access: yesThe Lancet Microbe
Summary: Background: Strongyloidiasis is a widely distributed, potentially fatal, neglected parasitic disease caused by the soil-transmitted helminth Strongyloides stercoralis. WHO has recently issued the target product profile (TPP) for new diagnostics

Negotiating in a Foreign Land: Understanding the Curious Interactions Between Intracellular Mitochondria and Internalized Nanoparticles

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Therapeutic nano‐drug delivery systems interact with cellular mitochondria in a multitude of ways. While the complexity of such interactions disrupts the mitochondrial electron transport chain and increases reactive oxygen species production, thereby contributing to nanoparticle toxicity, they also present unique theranostic opportunities in diseases ...
