Parasympatholytic activity of (-)-Δ9-trans- Tetrahydrocannabinol in mongrel dogs

open access: closedEuropean Journal of Pharmacology, 1972
Abstract (-)-Δ 9 - trans -Tetrahydrocannabinol (Δ 9 -THC) (0.312–5 mg/kg) shifted the frequency-response curves of vagal stimulation to the right and attenuated salivation induced by chorda tympani stimulation in dogs. This parasympatholytic activity of Δ 9 -THC was neither atropine-like in nature nor was it due to ganglionic blockade.

Synthesis and antiarrhythmic and parasympatholytic properties of substituted phenols. 2. Amides

open access: closedJournal of Medicinal Chemistry, 1984
Thirty amides patterned after the antiarrhythmic drug changrolin were synthesized and their antiarrhythmic and parasympatholytic activities were assessed. There was no correlation between antiarrhythmic and parasympatholytic activities. Several of the amides were found to be potent antiarrhythmic agents that possessed low parasympatholytic activity ...
