Robotic‐Assisted Transaxillary Parathyroidectomy: A Safe and Cosmetically Alternative for Primary Hyperparathyroidism

open access: yesWorld Journal of Otorhinolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, Volume 12, Issue 3, Page 346-352, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Purpose This study aimed to describe the initial experience with robot‐assisted transaxillary parathyroidectomy (RATP) and to investigate its safety and efficacy as a surgical approach for the treatment of primary hyperparathyroidism (PHPT).

Lanthanum Chloride in Vascular Calcification: Effects on Nano‐Hydroxyapatite and PPARγ/Wnt/β‐Catenin

open access: yesFASEB BioAdvances, Volume 8, Issue 6, June 2026.
This study elucidates the anti‐calcification mechanism of lanthanum chloride (LaCl₃) in rats with chronic kidney disease (CKD) and human vascular smooth muscle cells (hVSMCs). Unlike traditional phosphate binders, trace amounts of LaCl₃ can inhibit vascular calcification without lowering serum phosphorus levels.

The Effects of Early Postnatal Alcohol Exposure on Bone Molecular Composition in a Mouse Model

open access: yesAlcohol, Clinical and Experimental Research, Volume 50, Issue 6, June 2026.
Early postnatal alcohol exposure was associated with long‐term changes in adult bone molecular composition and increased CTX‐I, indicating persistent effects on skeletal biology. Overlap with gavage‐related changes highlights the need to distinguish alcohol‐specific effects from procedural influences.

Biochemical bone biomarkers in plasma cell dyscrasias

open access: yesBritish Journal of Haematology, Volume 208, Issue 6, Page 1909-1923, June 2026.
Visual abstract depicting that bone turnover markers reflect dynamic alterations in bone remodelling across the spectrum of plasma cell dyscrasias but remain limited by assay variability, biological confounding and incomplete integration with imaging and risk stratification.
