Lancet, The, 1973Abstract Four cases of acute arthritis developed after parathyroidectomy, and pseudogout was suspected in each patient. All patients demonstrated typical chondrocalcinosis in radiographs of knees and wrists, and acute polyarticular arthritis developed in these affected joints.
