Synthesis, characterization, and performance of x_MoO3/Z‐22 and x_MoO3/MMP catalysts for biodiesel production

open access: yesThe Canadian Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
Methyl transesterification of soybean oil using heterogeneous catalysts for biodiesel production. Abstract The growing global demand for renewable fuels has driven the search for efficient catalysts in biodiesel production. This study presents the synthesis and characterization of x_MoO3/Z‐22 and x_MoO3/MMP heterogeneous catalysts, and evaluates the ...

Subuniformity of harmonic mean p$$ p $$‐values

open access: yesCanadian Journal of Statistics, EarlyView.
Abstract We obtain several inequalities on the generalized means of dependent p$$ p $$‐values. In particular, the weighted harmonic mean of p$$ p $$‐values is strictly subuniform under several dependence assumptions of p$$ p $$‐values, including independence, negative upper orthant dependence, the class of extremal mixture copulas, and some Clayton ...

T‐calibration in semi‐parametric models

open access: yesCanadian Journal of Statistics, EarlyView.
Abstract This article relates the calibration of models to the consistent loss functions for the target functional of the model. Correctly specified models are calibrated. Conversely, we demonstrate that if there is a parameter value that is optimal under all consistent loss functions, then a model is calibrated.

A MOPSO Algorithm Based Exclusively on Pareto Dominance Concepts [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
In extending the Particle Swarm Optimisation methodology to multi-objective problems it is unclear how global guides for particles should be selected. Previous work has relied on metric information in objective space, although this is at variance with the notion of dominance which is used to assess the quality of solutions.

Causal analysis of extreme risk in a network of industry portfolios

open access: yesCanadian Journal of Statistics, EarlyView.
Abstract We provide a detailed review of causal dependence within the framework of max‐linear structural models. Such models express each node variable as a max‐linear function of its parental node variables in a directed acyclic graph (DAG) and some exogenous innovation.

Towards Pareto-optimal energy management in integrated energy systems: A multi-agent and multi-objective deep reinforcement learning approach

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrical Power & Energy Systems
Deep Reinforcement Learning (DRL) is effective in solving complex, non-linear optimization problems, which is particularly relevant in energy management within Integrated Energy Systems (IESs).

Covalent Immobilization of Laccase on Mesoporous Bismuth Silicate for High‐Performance Biodegradation of Contaminants

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Inorganic Chemistry, EarlyView.
Myceliophthora thermophila laccase covalently immobilized on bismuth silicate (BiSi‐ext) achieved synergistic adsorption–biodegradation of Tectilon Blue 4R‐01 and ibuprofen. The biocatalyst showed enhanced stability, reusability, and rapid pollutant removal via expanded active‐site accessibility, enabling efficient, eco‐friendly wastewater remediation.

Application and comparison of NSGA-II and MOPSO in multi-objective optimization of water resources systems

open access: yesJournal of Hydrology and Hydromechanics, 2018
Optimal operation of reservoir systems is the most important issue in water resources management. It presents a large variety of multi-objective problems that require powerful optimization tools in order to fully characterize the existing trade-offs ...

Improving Collaborative Filtering Based Recommender Systems Using Pareto Dominance

open access: yes, 2022
