Multiobjective Optimization, Scalarization, and Maximal Elements of Preorders
We characterize the existence of (weak) Pareto optimal solutions to the classical multiobjective optimization problem by referring to the naturally associated preorders and their finite (Richter-Peleg) multiutility representation.

Pareto optimal control problem and its Galerkin approximation for a nonlinear one-dimensional extensible beam equation [PDF]
Our goal is to study the Pareto optimal control system for a nonlinear one-dimensional extensible beam equation and its Galerkin approximation. First we consider a mathematical model of the beam equation which was obtained by S. Woinowsky-Krieger in 1950.

Collision‐Resilient Winged Drones Enabled by Tensegrity Structures
Based on structures of birds such as the woodpeck, this article presents the collision‐resilient aerial robot, SWIFT. SWIFT leverages tensegrity structures in the fuselage and wings which allow it to undergo large deformations in a crash, without sustaining damage. Experiments show that SWIFT can reduce impact forces by 70% over conventional structures.

Generalized decomposition and cross entropy methods for many-objective optimization [PDF]
Decomposition-based algorithms for multi-objective optimization problems have increased in popularity in the past decade. Although their convergence to the Pareto optimal front (PF) is in several instances superior to that of Pareto-based algorithms ...

A new class of biohybrid spheroids is engineered through the self‐assembly of adherent cells and extracellular matrix‐mimetic hydrogel microparticles (microgels). By mimicking a snowballing effect, this approach enables scalable formation of porous, millimeter‐scale spheroids with enhanced cell viability and molecular diffusion.

Responses’ Prediction Standard Error Analysis in Pareto Solutions
A Pareto front provides to the decision-maker a set of optimal solutions from where a unique solution should be selected to solve a multiresponse problem.
