Parking functions and generalizations [PDF]

PARP inhibitors induce a senescence phenotype in non‐small cell lung carcinoma cell lines
Talazoparib is the most potent inducer of senescence among different PARP1 inhibitors in human NSCLC cells. In the absence of PARP, no senescence phenotype was observed, demonstrating that PARP1 is necessary for the induction of senescence by this inhibitor.

Primeness of Generalized Parking Functions
Classical parking functions are a generalization of permutations that appear in many combinatorial structures. Prime parking functions are indecomposable components such that any classical parking function can be uniquely described as a direct sum of prime ones.

Prime parking functions on rooted trees [PDF]
For a labeled, rooted tree with edges oriented towards the root, we consider the vertices as parking spots and the edge orientation as a one-way street. Each driver, starting with her preferred parking spot, searches for and parks in the first unoccupied spot along the directed path to the root. If all $n$ drivers park, the sequence of spot preferences

Erythropoietin administration suppresses hepatic soluble epoxide hydrolase (sEH) expression, leading to increased CYP‐derived epoxides. This is associated with a shift in hepatic macrophage polarization characterized by reduced M1 markers and increased M2 markers, along with reduced hepatic inflammation, suppressed hepatic lipogenesis, and attenuated ...

Research and Implementation of Automatic Fuzzy Garage Parking System Based on FPGA
Because of many common scenes of reverse parking in real life, this paper presents a fuzzy controller which accommodates front and back adjustment of vehicle’s body attitude, and based on chaotic-genetic arithmetic to optimize the membership function of ...

Parking Function Polynomials and Their Relation to the Shuffle Conjecture [PDF]
The "Shuffle Conjecture" states that the bigraded Frobeneus characteristic of the space of diagonal harmonics (equal to the operator nabla applied to the nth elementary symmetric function) can be computed as the weighted sum of combinatorial objects ...

This paper reveals how human lactoferrin–albumin fusion (hLF‐HSA) potently suppresses lung adenocarcinoma cell migration. hLF‐HSA upregulates NHE7, leading to Golgi alkalization, disruption of the Golgi secretome, downregulation of MMP1, and reversal of EMT. These findings suggest a novel Golgi‐targeting strategy to suppress cancer cell migration.

Aquaporin‐3 and aquaporin‐5 impact the development of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma spheroids
Schematic representation of the role of aquaporin‐3 (AQP3) and aquaporin‐5 (AQP5) in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC). Both proteins are upregulated in PDAC and are associated with tumor progression and metastatic potential. Silencing AQP3 or AQP5 in PDAC spheroids results in decreased diameter, area, and overall growth, underscoring their key ...
