Nonhomogeneous Parking Functions and Noncrossing Partitions

open access: yesThe Electronic Journal of Combinatorics, 2008
For each skew shape we define a nonhomogeneous symmetric function, generalizing a construction of Pak and Postnikov. In two special cases, we show that the coefficients of this function when expanded in the complete homogeneous basis are given in terms of the (reduced) type of $k$-divisible noncrossing partitions. Our work extends Haiman's notion of a

A Decomposition of Parking Functions by Undesired Spaces

open access: yesThe Electronic Journal of Combinatorics, 2016
There is a well-known bijection between parking functions of a fixed length and maximal chains of the noncrossing partition lattice which we can use to associate to each set of parking functions a poset whose Hasse diagram is the union of the corresponding maximal chains.

Model for Determining Parking Demand Using Simulation-Based Pricing

open access: yesApplied Sciences
Urban traffic management faces significant challenges in balancing parking supply with user demand. This study introduces a novel parking demand model that integrates simulation-based pricing with elasticity functions derived from revealed preference ...

PERAN DINAS PERHUBUNGAN DALAM PENGELOLAAN PERPARKIRAN GUNA MENINGKATKAN RETRIBUSI PARKIR DI KABUPATEN GRESIK

open access: yesJurnal Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik
In running a regional government, of course, costs or budgets are needed so that the government functions can run. Parking fees have a potential opportunity to become a contributor to regional revenue as well as APBD if it can be managed properly.

Probabilistic (m, n)-Parking Functions

open access: yesThe Electronic Journal of Combinatorics
In this article, we establish new results on the probabilistic parking model (introduced by Durmić, Han, Harris, Ribeiro, and Yin) with $m$ cars and $n$ parking spots and probability parameter $p \in [0,1]$. For any $m \leq n$ and $p \in [0,1]$, we study the parking preference of the last car, denoted $a_m$, and determine the conditional distribution ...
