Unlocking Stereodefined Olefins by Z‐Selective Transition Metals‐catalyzed C−H Activations

open access: yesChemCatChem, Volume 18, Issue 15, 14 August 2026.
The synthesis of Z‐olefins is an important challenge in synthetic organic chemistry. Within this review, we report a comprehensive overview of transition metals‐catalyzed Z‐selective C–H activations of (hetero)arenes for the synthesis of stereodefined olefins.

Osteoimmunomodulatory Effects of Zirconia‐Modified Titanium: Promoting Macrophage Activation and Osteoblast Mineralization at the Dental Implant Interface

open access: yesClinical and Experimental Dental Research, Volume 12, Issue 4, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Objective Immune cells are the first to interact with implant surfaces, yet their contribution to osseointegration is often underestimated. Understanding how titanium‐based and zirconia‐enriched surface properties regulate macrophage polarization is essential for designing regenerative biomaterials.

Family History of Chronic Pain: What Impact Does It Have on Current Clinical Status? Results From an Italian Study

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Pain, Volume 30, Issue 7, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Although a key factor in understanding intergenerational transmission, family history of chronic pain deserves greater attention, particularly about its role as a potential mediating factor on current psychophysical status, together with other underestimated parameters (e.g., psychiatric comorbidity).

DNMT3A Co‐Mutation and Real‐World Clinical Outcomes With Gilteritinib in FLT3‐Mutated Acute Myeloid Leukaemia Across Molecular Subgroups

open access: yeseJHaem, Volume 7, Issue 4, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Introduction: Molecular co‐mutations modulate outcomes in FLT3‐mutated AML treated with gilteritinib; real‐world data stratified by DNMT3A co‐mutation status are lacking. Methods We retrospectively analysed 29 adults with R/R FLT3‐mutated AML treated at two Italian centres.

Lectotypifications and taxonomic changes in the holoparasitic Orobanchaceae

open access: yesNordic Journal of Botany, Volume 2026, Issue 8, August 2026.
Based on further extensive studies of specimens in various herbaria, lectotypes are designated for many taxa of holoparasitic Orobanchaceae. In particular, 47 names in the genera Boschniakia (incl. Xylanche), Cistanche, Orobanche, Phelipanche and Phelypaea are lectotypified.

A scoping review of research on student agency in secondary education

open access: yesReview of Education, Volume 14, Issue 2, August 2026.
Abstract Student agency is a construct of growing interest for researchers wishing to better understand and foster students' active participation in their school life. The purpose of this scoping review was to analyse quantitative and qualitative studies carried out in secondary education contexts, for exploring the studies' main characteristics and ...
