Parrot's Pseudoparalysis, Revisited
Pediatrics, 1975Just over 100 years ago, Parrot described several children in whom pain in one or more extremities secondary to syphilitic involvement of bone resulted in lack of movement of those extremities. He called this pseudoparalysis. In recent years, the incidence of congenital syphilis has risen dramatically.
