From news to comment: Resources and benchmarks for parsing the language of web 2.0 [PDF]
We investigate the problem of parsing the noisy language of social media. We evaluate four all-Street-Journal-trained statistical parsers (Berkeley, Brown, Malt and MST) on a new dataset containing 1,000 phrase structure trees for sentences from ...

Automated generative process synthesis via transformer‐based dual‐loop simulation and optimization
Abstract This study presents a novel framework for automated generative process synthesis, addressing the complexity of simultaneously optimizing discrete topologies and continuous operating variables. To overcome conventional superstructure limitations, we propose a dual‐loop architecture integrating generative transformers with rigorous process ...

Prefix Parsing is Just Parsing
Prefix parsing asks whether an input prefix can be extended to a complete string generated by a given grammar. In the weighted setting, it also provides prefix probabilities, which are central to context-free language modeling, psycholinguistic analysis, and syntactically constrained generation from large language models.

Streaming online log parsing method based on heuristic rule
To address the issues of inaccurate parsing and unstable performance in existing log parsing methods, a streaming online log parsing method based on heuristic rules, known as heuristic regex tree (HRTree), was proposed.

Several simulation techniques are used to explore static and dynamic behavior in polyanion sodium cathode materials. The study reveals that universal machine learning interatomic potentials (MLIPs) struggle with system‐specific chemistry, emphasizing the need for tailored datasets.

Tree parsing with synchronous tree-adjoining grammars
Restricting the input or the output of a grammar-induced translation to a given set of trees plays an important role in statistical machine translation. The problem for practical systems is to find a compact (and in particular, finite) representation of ...

Coordinate noun phrase disambiguation in a generative parsing model [PDF]
In this paper we present methods for improving the disambiguation of noun phrase (NP) coordination within the framework of a lexicalised history-based parsing model.

Deep Learning‐Assisted Design of Mechanical Metamaterials
This review examines the role of data‐driven deep learning methodologies in advancing mechanical metamaterial design, focusing on the specific methodologies, applications, challenges, and outlooks of this field. Mechanical metamaterials (MMs), characterized by their extraordinary mechanical behaviors derived from architected microstructures, have ...

Psycholinguistic plausibility of left-corner parsing with Minimalist Grammars
This paper shows that a left-corner parser for Minimalist Grammars (MGs) requires more memory resources to parse center-embedding structures than both left- and right-embeddings. The behavior of the parser mimics that of a human parser.

Large-scale connectionist natural language parsing using lexical semantic and syntactic knowledge
Syntactic parsing plays a pivotal role in most automatic natural language processing systems. The research project presented in this dissertation has focused on two main characteristics of connectionist models for natural language processing: their ...
