Setswana Part of Speech Tagging

open access: yes, 2019
Part of speech tagging is one of the basic steps in natural language processing. Although it has been investigated for many languages around the world, very little has been done for Setswana language. Setswana language is written disjunctively and some words play multiple functions in a sentence.

Smart Nanotechnologies for Multimodal Neuromodulation and Brain Interfacing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Recent advances in smart nanotechnologies are expanding the toolbox for brain interfacing, from wireless neuromodulation and high‐resolution sensing to targeted delivery within the central nervous system. By combining responsive nanomaterials with bioinspired design, these platforms enable multimodal interactions with neurons and glia, while also ...

SCAP-TT: Tagging and lemmatising Spanish tourism discourse, and beyond [PDF]

open access: yesIbérica, 2017
In this research note we report on the first results of SCAP, the Spanish Corpus Annotation Project, applied to tourism discourse (SCAP_tur). In particular, we present and assess a new TreeTagger parameter set for Spanish (SCAP-TT), which has been ...

Combined Machine-Learning Approach to PoS-Tagging of Middle English Corpora

open access: yesCrossroads, 2018
This paper considers the problem of part-of-speech tagging in Middle English corpora (as well as historical corpora in general). Whereas PoS-tagging in general is now considered a solved problem for Modern English and is mainly achieved via hidden Markov

Dynamic Self‐Clickable Decellularized Matrix Hydrogels for Regulating Vascularity and Enhancing Muscle Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Dynamic decellularized hydrogels are prepared using bovine decellularized small intestine submucosa (SIS) norbornene (dSIS‐NB). Bovine dSIS contained significant amounts of disulfide‐rich fibrillin‐I, enabling ‘self‐clickable’ thiol‐norbornene gelation and spatiotemporal tuning of hydrogel physicochemical properties.

Automatic Part-of-Speech Tagging

open access: yesInternational Journal of Advanced Statistics and IT&C for Economics and Life Sciences
Abstract Natural language processing (NLP) is a key technique in Business Process Management (BPM). The performance of BPM methods, which are based on NLP, is limited by the accuracy of automatic part-of-speech tagging, a base subtask of NLP.[9] The automatic part-of-speech tagging is the process of assigning a tag to every word in a ...
