Partial factors for cross-section resistance of elements in steel structures

open access: yesBudownictwo i Architektura, 2013
Issues related to safety requirements for steel elements subjected to different stress resultants in reference to limit states design philosophy according to Structural Eurocodes PN-EN and national codes PN-B are dealt with in the paper.

Action Knowledge Transfer for Action Prediction with Partial Videos

open access: yesProceedings of the AAAI Conference on Artificial Intelligence, 2019
Predicting action class from partially observed videos, which is known as action prediction, is an important task in computer vision field with many applications. The challenge for action prediction mainly lies in the lack of discriminative action information for the partially observed videos.

Organoids in pediatric cancer research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Organoid technology has revolutionized cancer research, yet its application in pediatric oncology remains limited. Recent advances have enabled the development of pediatric tumor organoids, offering new insights into disease biology, treatment response, and interactions with the tumor microenvironment.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

CLEARING MYTHS: LATIN AMERICA AND CHILE DURING THE SOUTH ATLANTIC WAR

open access: yesPolítica y Estrategia, 2017
The Chilean actions during the South Atlantic War (1982) are a topic discussed in the history of Latin American international relations. It is also presented from a partial and biased approach by Argentinian historiography, as a ‘betrayal’ to Chilean ...

Activities for Preventing, Identifying and Sanctioning the Irregularities Emerged in Obtaining and Using European Funds and/or National Public Funds

open access: yesCECCAR Business Review, 2021
Considering our country’s current strategy of absorption of structural and cohesion funds, in order to avoid irregularities in accessing and implementing European funds, it is very important that we know the legal framework in the field so that we are ...

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

REFLECTORS AND GLOBALIZATIONS OF PARTIAL ACTIONS OF GROUPS [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the Australian Mathematical Society, 2017
Given a partial action $\unicode[STIX]{x1D703}$ of a group on a set with an algebraic structure, we construct a reflector of $\unicode[STIX]{x1D703}$ in the corresponding subcategory of global actions and study the question when this reflector is a globalization.

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

Enveloping actions for twisted partial actions

open access: yes, 2014
Let A#_{α, ω}H be a partial crossed product. In this paper, we first generalize the theorem about the existence of an enveloping action to twisted partial actions. Second, we construct a Morita context between the partial crossed product and the crossed product related to the enveloping action.
