Modeling Market Expectations of Profitability Mean Reversion: A Comparative Analysis of Adjustment Models

open access: yesInternational Journal of Financial Studies
This paper investigates how market expectations regarding profitability mean reversion are reflected in stock prices. We propose a model that infers implicit expectations of future earnings using publicly available share prices based on the assumption ...

Residual tail twisting in ascidian larvae is stabilized by asymmetric myofibrils that resist bilateral symmetry restoration

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ascidian Ciona larvae initially show strong clockwise tail twisting, which is largely corrected during development. However, a small residual twist remains. This study shows that organized helical myofibrils in tail muscles mechanically stabilize this residual asymmetry, preventing complete restoration of bilateral symmetry and revealing how embryos ...

Adjusted Empirical Likelihood for Varying Coefficient Partially Linear Models with Censored Data [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics, 2013
By constructing an adjusted auxiliary vector ingeniously, we propose an adjusted empirical likelihood ratio function for the parametric components of varying coefficient partially linear models with censored data. It is shown that its limiting distribution is standard central chi-squared.

The human gut microbiome across the life course

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Despite significant individual variation and continuous change throughout life, the human gut microbiome follows some life stage‐specific trends. This article provides a brief overview of how gut microbiome composition shifts across different phases of life. Created in BioRender. Özkurt, E. (2026) https://BioRender.com/8q4nrnc.

Cointegration and Adjustment in the CVAR(∞) Representation of Some Partially Observed CVAR(1) Models [PDF]

open access: yesEconometrics, 2019
A multivariate CVAR(1) model for some observed variables and some unobserved variables is analysed using its infinite order CVAR representation of the observations. Cointegration and adjustment coefficients in the infinite order CVAR are found as functions of the parameters in the CVAR(1) model.

Septin 9 PB domains coordinate centrosome positioning and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Septin 9 polybasic domains couple phosphoinositide‐rich membrane binding to centrosome positioning, Golgi organization, and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity. Their loss disrupts this axis, causing centrosome mispositioning, Golgi fragmentation, reduced microtubule acetylation, and polarity inversion via upregulation of the ...

Adjustment of Inputs and Measurement of Technical Efficiency: A Dynamic Panel Data Analysis of the Egyptian Manufacturing Sectors [PDF]

open access: yes
The purpose of this paper is to construct a dynamic stochastic production frontier incorporating the sluggish adjustment of inputs, to measure the speed of adjustment of output, and to compare the technical efficiency estimates from this dynamic model to
