Partial purification and characterization of xylanase from Bacillus cereus X3

open access: yesمجلة بغداد للعلوم, 2014
Three strain of Bacillus cereus were obtained from soil sours Laboratories of Biology Department/ College of Science/ University of Baghdad. The bacteria secreted extracellular xylanase in liquid cultur the test ability of xylanase production from these ...

Covariance Characterization by Partial Autocorrelation Matrices

open access: yesThe Annals of Statistics, 1978
It is known that the autocorrelation function of a stationary discrete-time scalar process can be uniquely characterized by the so-called partial autocorrelation function, which is a sequence of numbers less or equal to one in magnitude. We show here that the matrix covariance function of a multivariate stationary process can be characterized by a ...

Semigroups of order-decreasing transformations

open access: yes, 2012
Let X be a totally ordered set and consider the semigroups of orderdecreasing (increasing) full (partial, partial one-to-one) transformations of X. In this Thesis the study of order-increasing full (partial, partial one-to-one) transformations has been

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

On partial metric preserving functions and their characterization [PDF]

open access: yes
[eng] In 1981, J. Borsík and J. Dobos characterized those functions that allow to transform a metric into another one in such a way that the topology of the metric to be transformed is preserved. Later on, in 1994, S.G.

Circular RNA expression landscapes in myelodysplastic neoplasms: Associations with mutational signatures and disease progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In this explorative study, the abundance of circular RNA molecules in bone marrow stem cells was found to be elevated in patients with high‐risk myelodysplastic neoplasms, and to be associated with an increased risk of progression to acute myeloid leukemia.

Experimental and simulation analysis for insulation deterioration and partial discharge currents in nanocomposites of power cables

open access: yes
Partial discharge (PD) has a well-established relationship with the lifespan of power cables. This paper has been treated the polyvinyl chloride (PVC) with specified nanoparticles for enhancing dielectric degradation and reducing partial discharge ...
