Partial detectability and generalized functional observer design for linear descriptor systems

open access: yesFranklin Open
In this study, we present two primary contributions to the theory of detectability for linear time-invariant descriptor systems. First, we establish a necessary and sufficient condition for the partial detectability by proving that it holds if and only ...

Partial purification and characterization of potato virus Y helper component

open access: yes, 1977
Mg2+ stabilized potato virus Y helper component during partial purification by precipitation using polyethyleneglycol. In solutions containing 0.02 M Mg2+ the helper component retained most of its activity for 2 days at 4° and for at least 8 months at ...

Hospitalization Through Families’ Eyes: Comparing Inpatient Care Quality for Children With Sickle Cell Disease and Cystic Fibrosis in Canada

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Sickle cell disease (SCD) is a chronic, inherited hemoglobinopathy that requires frequent hospitalization for disease‐related complications. Canadian data on inpatient care is limited. This study compared caregiver‐reported hospital experiences of children with SCD to those with cystic fibrosis (CF), a chronic, autosomal recessive ...

Venous Thromboembolism in Pediatric Bone Sarcoma Patients: A 10‐Year, Single‐Institution Experience Encompassing the COVID‐19 Pandemic

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Osteosarcoma (OS) and Ewing sarcoma (EWS) are the most common primary bone cancers in children, but acute thrombosis is poorly characterized in this population. Our study evaluated the rates of venous thromboembolism (VTE) and associated risk factors in pediatric patients with bone sarcomas treated over a 10‐year period encompassing

Partial Characterization of Keratinolytic Activity of Local Novel Bacteria Isolated from Feather Waste

open access: yesJournal of Pure and Applied Microbiology, 2017
Three keratinolytic bacterial isolates were characterized partially for their keratinase activity. Bacterial isolates were grown in feather meal agar.

Enkephalinase: Selective inhibitors and partial characterization [PDF]

open access: yesPeptides, 1980
There are at least two types of enzymes in brain, endopeptidases and aminopeptidases, which metabolize enkephalins. Evidence is presented to suggest that enkephalinase, an endopeptidase cleaving at the Gly-Phe bond, is specific for the endogenous enkephalinergic system. Selective inhibitors are described for each enzyme.

Deep Sequencing of FLT3‐ITD Enables Response Evaluation and Post‐Treatment Monitoring in Childhood AML: An Exploratory Study

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background An internal tandem duplication in the gene encoding Fms‐like tyrosine kinase 3 (FLT3‐ITD) is associated with high relapse risk and poor prognosis in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and plays a crucial role in treatment decisions. Measurable residual disease (MRD) analysis of FLT3‐ITD during and after treatment has shown prognostic ...

Partial Purification and Characterization of β-glucosidase fromMonascus sanguineus

open access: yesBrazilian Archives of Biology and Technology, 2015
The aim of the present work was to study the production and characterization of β-glucosidase from Monascus sanguineus. Agro-waste residues were screened to obtain the maximum yield of enzyme. Jack fruit seed was the best substrate for enzyme production.
