Axial localization of luminophores by partial coherence interferometry [PDF]

open access: yesSPIE Proceedings, 2004
We propose a solution for increasing the axial resolution of confocal microscopes. In the experimental set-up described in this paper an interference phenomenon between two counterpropagating beams is used to determine the axial position of a luminophore.

Relationship between central corneal thickness and axial eye length using partial coherence interferometry

open access: yesAl-Azhar Assiut Medical Journal, 2022
Background and aim Several studies have shown the relationship between axial length (AL) of the eye and central corneal thickness (CCT). Since genetics, ethnicity, and race can affect these factors, their differences between different societies can ...

Eye shape using partial coherence interferometry, autorefraction, and SD-OCT. [PDF]

open access: yesOptom Vis Sci, 2015
Peripheral refraction and retinal shape may influence refractive development. Peripheral refraction has been shown to have a high degree of variability and can take considerable time to perform. Spectral domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT) and peripheral axial length measures may be more reliable, assuming that the retinal position is more ...

Axial length estimation error caused by hidden double-peak on partial coherence interferometry in an eye with epiretinal membrane: a case report [PDF]

open access: yesClinical Ophthalmology, 2014
Yoshiyuki Kitaguchi, Shinsaku Yano, Fumi Gomi Department of Ophthalmology, Sumitomo Hospital, Osaka, Japan Abstract: Here we report a patient in whom there was a myopic shift after combined cataract surgery and pars plana vitrectomy against the ...

Comparison of anterior segment measurements using rotating Scheimpflug imaging and partial coherence interferometry [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Ophthalmology, 2013
METHODS:As part of the first phase of Shahroud Eye Cohort Study with 5 190 subjects of 40 to 64 years of age, CCT and ACD were measured using Scheimpflug imaging with the Pentacam (Oculus, Inc., Lynnwood, WA, USA) and partial coherence interferometry ...

Validation of a partial coherence interferometry method for estimating retinal shape. [PDF]

open access: yesBiomed Opt Express, 2015
To validate a simple partial coherence interferometry (PCI) based retinal shape method, estimates of retinal shape were determined in 60 young adults using off-axis PCI, with three stages of modeling using variants of the Le Grand model eye, and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).

Comparison of Intraocular Lens Power Calculation between Standard Partial Coherence Interferometry-Based and Scheimpflug-Based Biometers: The Importance of Lens Constant Optimization. [PDF]

open access: yesJ Curr Ophthalmol, 2023
Purpose: To compare the intraocular lens (IOLs) power calculated with Haigis, Hoffer Q, Holladay 1, and SRK/T formulas between the IOLs Master 500 and Pentacam AXL according to the lens status. Methods: In this cross-sectional study, sampling was done in

Partial Coherence Laser Interferometry in Highly Myopic versus Emmetropic Eyes

open access: yesJournal of Ophthalmic & Vision Research, 2014
Purpose: To investigate the reliability of partial coherence laser interferometry for optical biometry in highly myopic eyes. Methods: Axial length measurements by the IOLMaster (Carl Zeiss Meditec, Germany) with signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) ≥2 were ...

Comparative Analysis of Axial Length Measurements by Optical Biometers Based on Partial Coherence Interferometry Versus Optical Low-Coherence Interferometry: An Office Audit. [PDF]

open access: yesCureus, 2022
Purpose In this study, we aimed to compare axial length (AL) measurements of the IOLMaster 500 (Carl Zeiss Meditec AG, Jena, Germany), based on partial coherence interferometry (PCI) versus the Aladdin (Topcon Healthcare, Oakland, NJ), based on optical ...
