Intelligent partial discharge measurement device
Proceedings of 1994 IEEE International Symposium on Electrical Insulation, 2002This paper introduces a entirely new intelligent partial discharge measurement device that integrates with a microcomputer, A/D, time series control and the filter amplifier circuit for analog signal. It has four independent parallel A/D channels, the highest sampling frequency is 20 MHz and data store is 512 K.

Innovative Solutions for Partial Discharge Measurements
Elektrichestvo, 2021The article discusses systems developed using an innovative approach to measuring partial discharges, their advantages over traditional methods of monitoring cable lines and electrical equipment, as well as the principles of their operation. The design of the systems is based on a special broadband sensor-antenna which provides remote recording of both

Measuring system for partial discharge
Quality Measurement: The Indispensable Bridge between Theory and Reality (No Measurements? No Science! Joint Conference - 1996: IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Technology Conference and IMEKO Technical Committee 7. Conference Proceedings, 2002Measuring of the partial discharge (PD) parameters of the insulating systems is very important. The prompt insulating system estimation and its remaining life time give the great savings. The new, complex PD measuring methods are now developed in the world because conventional methods do not give valid information of the insulating system conditions ...

This chapter is devoted to the measurement of partial discharges (PD) localized in weak spots of dielectrics if subjected to high test voltages. As standards for PD measurement s have been introduced only for quality assurance tests of HV apparatus energized by power frequency AC voltages (50/60 Hz), the following treatment refers mainly to this test ...

Measuring partial discharges under pulsed voltage conditions
IEEE Transactions on Dielectrics and Electrical Insulation, 2008Partial Discharges (PDs) measurement deserves a specific study when in the presence of fast rising/falling voltages, as the output of IGBT switching devices. In such operating conditions, the choice of a proper detection system is crucial in order to have the best signal to noise ratio and to solve some problems linked to the specific characteristics ...

Amplitude Analysis in Partial Discharge Measurement
2009 Second International Conference on Advances in Circuits, Electronics and Micro-electronics, 2009In commercial sphere, there is obvious the pursuit of produce electrical wares with high reliability and low risk of breakdown. It is known, the Partial Discharge (PD) is regarded as a parasitic effect occurring in insulating systems. Deep investigation of Partial Discharge activity is necessary for longer service life and better reliability of high ...

Partial Discharge Measurement and Analysis
2013Partial Discharge (PD) is a common local defect of high voltage equipment, especially insulation system of transformers. PD in the insulation of electrical equipment is a sign of dielectric defects as well as a cause of further degradation of its insulation system, which may ultimately lead to failure of the apparatus.
