CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

A frequency-based RF partial discharge detector for low-power wireless sensing

open access: yes, 2010
Partial discharge (PD) monitoring has been the subject of significant research in recent years, which has given rise to a range of well-established PD detection and measurement techniques, such as acoustic and RF, on which condition monitoring systems ...

Interaction of HS1BP3 with cortactin modulates TKS5 localisation, cell secretion and cancer malignancy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...

Modelling of Partial Discharge Behaviour in a Spherical Cavity within a Solid Dielectric Material as a Function of Temperature

open access: yes, 2010
Partial discharge (PD) is an electrical discharge within a dielectric which does not bridge the electrodes. PD measurement has been widely used for assessing performance of insulation systems.

Study on the Detection of Single and Dual Partial Discharge Sources in Transformers Using Fiber-Optic Ultrasonic Sensors

open access: yesPhotonics
Partial discharge is a fault that occurs at the site of insulation defects within a transformer. Dual instances of partial discharge origination discharging simultaneously embody a more intricate form of discharge, where the interaction between the ...

Loss of proton‐sensing TDAG8 increases tumor progression in mouse models of colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the pH‐sensing receptor TDAG8 accelerates colorectal cancer progression in mice. Animals lacking TDAG8 expression had increased tumor growth, DNA damage, and recruitment of tumor‐associated immune cells, including macrophages, neutrophils, and monocytes.

A Building Block to the Design of Partial Discharge Free HV and MV Cables: Modeling Defects and Discharge Inception Voltage

open access: yesIEEE Access
It is well assessed that partial discharges, PD, are one of the major causes of MV and HV cable system breakdown, thus investigating partial discharge phenomenology and harmfulness is a key topic in relation to electric asset component reliability ...
