Laparoscopic partial hepatectomy
Surgical Practice, 2005Objective: To review the literature that addresses carrying out laparoscopic partial hepatectomyMethodology: A review and analysis of the English‐speaking literature addressing laparoscopic partial hepatectomy. Results: Laparoscopic partial hepatectomy is carried out in limited numbers and mostly on small tumours requiring wedge or segmental ...

Minimally invasive liver resection has been adopted as the standard of care for peripheral hepatic lesions. While many surgeons are comfortable with left lateral sectionectomies and with laparoscopic wedge resections in peripheral segments, more major resections are less often attempted as minimally invasive (MIS).

Partial Hepatectomy for Metastatic Carcinoma
Hospital Practice, 1976Three years after colonic resection for a rectal carcinoma, the patient evinced some weight loss and alkaline phosphatase elevation. Detailed workup revealed what appeared to be a solitary, well-defined metastatic lesion of the right hepatic lobe.

Mitochondrial oxidative alterations following partial hepatectomy
Free Radical Biology and Medicine, 1999Mitochondria, isolated from rat livers during the early phase of liver regeneration (7-24 h after partial hepatectomy), show: (i) decrease in the rate of ATP synthesis; (ii) increase of malondialdehyde and of oxidized protein production; (iii) decrease of the content of intramitochondrial glutathione and of protein thiols on mitochondrial proteins; (iv)

Laparoscopic partial hepatectomy.
Hepato-gastroenterology, 1998This article describes the surgical techniques and indications of laparoscopic partial hepatectomy, which is not as widely available as laparoscopic cholecystectomy. Three patients with hepatocellular carcinoma and associated severe liver cirrhosis were candidates for this technique from July 1993 to August 1994. The tumor size was 4 cm or less and all

Delayed recovery following laparoscopic partial hepatectomy
European Journal of Anaesthesiology, 2012We present a 42-year-old woman with unexpected coma after laparoscopic partial hepatectomy. MRI demonstrated ischaemic cerebral lesions. Further investigation revealed a patent foramen ovale. Cryptogenic stroke arising from a paradoxical carbon dioxide embolism was diagnosed.

EGF responsiveness of hepatocytes after partial hepatectomy
Cellular Signalling, 1996We investigate the effect of EGF on IP3 production, PLC gamma phosphorylation, calcium transients in rat hepatocytes isolated in quiescent liver (G0 phase of cell cycle) and at 4 h (G1 phase of cell cycle) and 24 h (M phase of cell cycle) after partial hepatectomy.

Partial Hepatectomy Employing Differential Hypothermia
A.M.A. Archives of Surgery, 1957Introduction Surgeons attempting hepatic resection are confronted with the problem of hemostasis in an extremely vascular and friable organ. Oozing from the cut surface of the liver results in considerable blood loss and obscures the operative field, making control of hemorrhage difficult.

Partial hepatectomy in two dogs
Journal of Small Animal Practice, 1993ABSTRACTA 10‐year‐old Jack Russell terrier bitch and a nine‐year‐old standard dachshund bitch were presented with abdominal enlargement and weight increase; neither had a history of ill health. In each case an extensive soft tissue mass was clearly palpable in the abdomen and following an exploratory laparotomy a partial hepatectomy was performed. Both
