Sonographic appearances of the partial hydatidiform mole.
Journal of Ultrasound in Medicine, 1983A partial hydatidiform mole differs morphologically and cytologically from the complete mole. Correct preoperative diagnosis of the partial mole by ultrasonography is often difficult. Some partial moles have sonographic appearances indistinguishable from those of the common complete moles or missed abortions. The predominant feature in the remainder is

Complete and Partial Hydatidiform Mole in Hawaii
Obstetrical & Gynecological Survey, 1982Summary. The results of a 5 year prospective cytogenetic and epidemiologic investigation of complete and partial hydatidiform mole are described. Partial Hydatidiform Mole: A Triploid Fetus
Journal of Diagnostic Medical Sonography, 2005Molar gestations can lead to serious maternal complications. In addition, placental trophoblasts may generate an array of uterine and gestational complications such as trophoblastic tumors and choriocarcinomas related to molar gestations. Complications associated with partial and complete hydatidiform moles are evident both antenatally and postnatally.

Immunology in Genesis of Partial and Total Hydatidiform Mole
1984In early pregnancy, a variety of pathology of trophoblastic cells is observed in trophoblastic disease and in spontaneous abortion. Trophoblastic disease includes hydatidiform mole, metastatic and/or invasive mole, and choriocarcinoma. Therefore, for better understanding of trophoblastic disease and spontaneous abortion, an exact knowledge of the ...

The clinicopathologic profile of the partial hydatidiform mole.
Obstetrics and gynecology, 1982Having delineated the complete and the partial hydatidiform moles as 2 separate entities on the basis or morphology and cytogenetics, the authors studied 201 molar pregnancies at the Magee-Womens Hospital in an attempt to characterize the clinicopathologic profile of the partial mole syndrome.

Sonographic diagnosis of partial hydatidiform mole.
Obstetrics and gynecology, 1989We undertook a study to determine whether partial hydatidiform mole could be distinguished from other cases of first-trimester missed abortion using ultrasound. Scans from 22 cases of pathologically proved partial hydatidiform mole and 33 cases of first-trimester missed abortion were independently reviewed by three radiologists, each unaware of the ...
