A method for constructing idempotents in a unital algebra
A method is proposed for constructing idempotents in a unital algebra 𝒜 using n arbitrary idempotents P1,...,Pn from this algebra. The properties of the resulting idempotents P = P(P1,...,Pn) are investigated; for n = 2 and n = 3, explicit forms of the ...

From Folding Mechanics to Robotic Function: A Unified Modeling Framework for Compliant Origami
A geometry‐consistent DDG framework captures compliant origami deformation from rigid‐like folding to soft panel bending. By tuning crease and panel stiffness, bistable snap‐through responses transform into smooth monostable deformation, enabling programmable stability and robot‐scale locomotion.

Ultraviolet (UV) imagers are important for a variety of applications but often require dedicated semiconductor process flows. Here, a versatile capacitive CMOS platform is transformed into a visible‐blind, multispectral UV imager through post‐CMOS functionalization with solution‐processed metal‐oxide nanoparticles. The UV‐induced photodielectric effect

The C*-algebra of a partial isometry [PDF]
The universal C*-algebra generated by a partial isometry is a non-unital residually finite dimensional C*-algebra which is not exact. Many unitarily inequivalent partial isometries generating any given finite dimensional full matrix algebra are constructed. The
