An explicit formula of perturbating stiffness matrix for partial natural frequency assignment using static output feedback

open access: yesJournal of Low Frequency Noise, Vibration and Active Control, 2018
The partial eigenvalue (or natural frequency) assignment or placement, only by the stiffness matrix perturbation, of an undamped vibrating system is addressed in this paper. A novel and explicit formula of determining the perturbating stiffness matrix is

On Some Applications of Matrix Partial Orders in Statistics [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Management, Knowledge and Learning, 2020
In statistics different partial orders appear as useful in several cases. Three of the best known partial orders defined on (sub)sets of real or complex matrices are the Löwner, the minus and the star partial orders.

A generalized operational matrix of mixed partial derivative terms with applications to multi-order fractional partial differential equations

open access: yesAlexandria Engineering Journal, 2022
In this paper, a computational approach based on the operational matrices in conjunction with orthogonal shifted Legendre polynomials (OSLPs) is designed to solve numerically the multi-order partial differential equations of fractional order consisting ...

Simultaneous Spectrophotometric Determination of Alogliptin and Pioglitazone Using Partial Least Squares with and without Genetic Algorithm [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Advanced Pharmacy Research, 2023
Background: Partial least squares-1 (PLS) is a common simple, rapid and selective multivariate method for simultaneous determination of components having overlapping spectra in mixtures.

Phase diagrams for two-component D-wave fermion superfluids with density imbalance

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2022
Finite-temperature phase structures for asymmetric two-component D -wave fermion superfluids in the weak coupling BCS regime are investigated. The Fulde–Ferrell–Larkin-Ovchinnikov (FFLO) state becomes non-degenerate with the orientation of Cooper pair ...

Partial Permutation and Alternating Sign Matrix Polytopes

open access: yesSIAM Journal on Discrete Mathematics, 2022
We define and study a new family of polytopes which are formed as convex hulls of partial alternating sign matrices. We determine the inequality descriptions, number of facets, and face lattices of these polytopes. We also study partial permutohedra that we show arise naturally as projections of these polytopes.

Eigenstate Correlations in Dual-Unitary Quantum Circuits: Partial Spectral Form Factor [PDF]

open access: yesQuantum
While the notion of quantum chaos is tied to random matrix spectral correlations, also eigenstate properties in chaotic systems are often assumed to be described by random matrix theory.

Finding Structure with Randomness: Probabilistic Algorithms for Constructing Approximate Matrix Decompositions [PDF]

open access: yesSIAM Review, 2009
Low-rank matrix approximations, such as the truncated singular value decomposition and the rank-revealing QR decomposition, play a central role in data analysis and scientific computing.

SpArch: Efficient Architecture for Sparse Matrix Multiplication [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Symposium on High-Performance Computer Architecture, 2020
Generalized Sparse Matrix-Matrix Multiplication (SpGEMM) is a ubiquitous task in various engineering and scientific applications. However, inner product based SpGEMM introduces redundant input fetches for mismatched nonzero operands, while outer product ...

Partial compositeness and baryon matrix elements on the lattice [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review D, 2018
Partial compositeness is a mechanism for the generation of fermion masses which replaces a direct Higgs coupling to the fermions by a linear mixing with heavy composite partners.
