Nanolayer‐Encapsulated Stretchable Liquid‐Metal Sheets for Thermal Management

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A stretchable liquid metal sheet with both high thermal conductivity and mechanical flexibility is developed. Its trilayer structure, comprising copper‐particle‐dispersed gallium liquid metal encapsulated by styrene‐butadiene‐styrene nanosheets, shows 40.4 W m−1 K−1 conductivity, elongation exceeding 200%, and retention of 96% of its initial ...

Mixing the stimulus list in bilingual lexical decision turns cognate facilitation effects into mirrored inhibition effects

open access: yes, 2020
To test the BIA+ and Multilink models’ accounts of how bilinguals process words with different degrees of cross-linguistic orthographic and semantic overlap, we conducted two experiments manipulating stimulus list composition.

Topology and Material Optimization in Ultra‐Soft Magneto‐Active Structures: Making Advantage of Residual Anisotropies

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Residual magnetization induces pronounced mechanical anisotropy in ultra‐soft magnetorheological elastomers, shaping deformation and actuation even without external magnetic fields. This study introduces a computational‐experimental framework integrating magneto‐mechanical coupling into topology optimization for designing soft magnetic actuators with ...

Neuromorphic Electronics for Intelligence Everywhere: Emerging Devices, Flexible Platforms, and Scalable System Architectures

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The perspective presents an integrated view of neuromorphic technologies, from device physics to real‐time applicability, while highlighting the necessity of full‐stack co‐optimization. By outlining practical hardware‐level strategies to exploit device behavior and mitigate non‐idealities, it shows pathways for building efficient, scalable, and ...

Design and implementation of a filter engine for semantic web documents [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
This report describes our project that addresses the challenge of changes in the semantic web. Some studies have already been done for the so-called adaptive semantic web, such as applying inferring rules.

A Critical Review of "Automatic Patch Generation Learned from Human-Written Patches": Essay on the Problem Statement and the Evaluation of Automatic Software Repair [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
At ICSE'2013, there was the first session ever dedicated to automatic program repair. In this session, Kim et al. presented PAR, a novel template-based approach for fixing Java bugs. We strongly disagree with key points of this paper. Our critical review

Ductility Tuning via Cluster Network Characteristics of Porous Components

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Network optimization via cluster characteristics induced by interaction of stress concentration is proposed, demonstrating increased cluster size and dispersion in non‐uniform porous components. The optimized structures exhibit, for the first time, that enhanced ductility and damage progression is controllable through zigzag cluster network designed by

TreatJS: Higher-Order Contracts for JavaScript [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
TreatJS is a language embedded, higher-order contract system for JavaScript which enforces contracts by run-time monitoring. Beyond providing the standard abstractions for building higher-order contracts (base, function, and object contracts), TreatJS's ...
