Case Report: Hemoglobin titusville: a specific case of cyanosis
Hemoglobin Titusville is a rare low-oxygen-affinity hemoglobinopathy characterized by normal arterial partial pressure of oxygen but low oxygen saturation. In this study, we describe a case of hemoglobinopathy presenting as cyanosis. A 12-year-old female

Analysis of Chloride Diffusion into Partially Saturated Concrete
This paper describes the governing equations of moisture, heat, and chloride ion flows through concrete within the framework of a distributed parameter model. The coupling terms and the nonlinearity of the problems are taken into account and a numerical procedure based on the finite element method is developed to solve the set of equations.

Structural and doping effects in the half-metallic double perovskite $A_2$CrWO$_6$
he structural, transport, magnetic and optical properties of the double perovskite $A_2$CrWO$_6$ with $A=\text{Sr, Ba, Ca}$ have been studied. By varying the alkaline earth ion on the $A$ site, the influence of steric effects on the Curie temperature ...

ABSTRACT Objective Variants in SLC6A1, encoding the GABA transporter 1 (GAT‐1), cause epilepsy, autism spectrum disorder, and developmental delay via loss of GABA uptake, impaired trafficking, and ER retention. We previously found that 4‐Phenylbutyrate (PBA), an FDA‐approved drug, restores GABA uptake and reduces seizures in SLC6A1‐related disorders ...

Effect of partial saturation of bonded neo magnet on the automotive accessory motor
In this paper the effects of using a partially magnetized bonded neo (NdFeB) magnet in an automotive accessory motor are presented. The potential reason for partial saturation of the bonded neo magnet is explained and a simple method to ensure saturation

On the undrained cyclic resistance of a partially saturated sand [PDF]
The undrained cyclic resistance of sandy soils is a key factor in controlling earthquake-induced damage. It is well established that the degree of saturation significantly influences the undrained behaviour of sands, as a reduction in saturation ...
