A novel discrete elephant herding optimization-based PTS scheme to reduce the PAPR of universal filtered multicarrier signal

open access: yesEngineering Science and Technology, an International Journal, 2021
The recently proposed waveform called universal filtered multicarrier (UFMC) has already managed to get the attention of science world due to its superior features and it has been accepted as one of the foremost fifth generation (5G) waveform contenders.

Hybrid PAPR Reduction Scheme for FBMC/OQAM Systems Based on Multi Data Block PTS and TR Methods

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2016
The filter bank multicarrier with offset quadrature amplitude modulation (FBMC/OQAM) is being studied by many researchers as a key enabler for the fifth-generation air interface. In this paper, a hybrid peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) reduction scheme

Genetic Algorithm Based Bilayer PTS Scheme for Peak-to-Average Power Ratio Reduction of FBMC/OQAM Signal

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
Partial transmit sequence (PTS) scheme has been well applied to reduce the high peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) of the orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) signal.

Analysis of Hybrid PAPR Reduction Methods of OFDM Signal for HPA Models in Wireless Communications

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) suffers from a high Peak-to-Average Power Ratio (PAPR). Designing a High Power Amplifier (HPA) with high PAPR is not a wise technique as it roots the amplifier to operate in a non-linear region which is ...

Peak-to-Average Power Ratio Reduction of FBMC/OQAM Signal Using a Joint Optimization Scheme

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2017
Owing to the signal structure difference between the filter bank multicarrier with offset quadrature amplitude modulation (FBMC/OQAM) and the orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) systems, the existing technologies to reduce the peak-to ...

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Partial Transmit Sequence and Selected Mapping Schemes for PAPR Reduction in GFDM Systems

open access: yesInternational Journal of Intelligent Engineering and Systems, 2019
: Generalized Frequency Division Multiplexing (GFDM) is one of the 5G candidates to overcome the shortcomings of Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM), high peak rating power ratio (PAPR), and high Out of Band (OOB) radiation.
