A Suboptimal PTS Algorithm Based on Particle Swarm Optimization Technique for PAPR Reduction in OFDM Systems

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Wireless Communications and Networking, 2008
A suboptimal partial transmit sequence (PTS) based on particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm is presented for the low computation complexity and the reduction of the peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) of an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing

Cognitive Wyner Networks with Clustered Decoding

open access: yes, 2013
We study an interference network where equally-numbered transmitters and receivers lie on two parallel lines, each transmitter opposite its intended receiver.

An antenna switching based NOMA scheme for IEEE 802.15.4 concurrent transmission

open access: yes, 2020
This paper introduces a Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA) scheme to support concurrent transmission of multiple IEEE 802.15.4 packets. Unlike collision avoidance Multiple Access Control (MAC), concurrent transmission supports Concurrent-MAC (C-MAC ...

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Multi-step quantum secure direct communication using multi-particle Green-Horne-Zeilinger state

open access: yes, 2006
A multi-step quantum secure direct communication protocol using blocks of multi-particle maximally entangled state is proposed. In this protocol, the particles in a Green-Horne-Zeilinger state are sent from Alice to Bob in batches in several steps.

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

PAPR optimization based on SLM and PTS algorithms in NC-OFDM systems

open access: yesDianxin kexue, 2022
Based on the non-continuous orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (NC-OFDM) model, a fusion optimization technology based on selected mapping (SLM) algorithm and partial transmit sequence (PTS) algorithm was proposed, and a system model of fusion ...

Side information embedding scheme for PTS based PAPR reduction in OFDM systems

open access: yesAlexandria Engineering Journal, 2022
Partial transmit sequence (PTS) is one of the well-known probabilistic schemes in reducing peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) signal.

Energy Minimization for the Half-Duplex Relay Channel with Decode-Forward Relaying

open access: yes, 2013
We analyze coding for energy efficiency in relay channels at a fixed source rate. We first propose a half-duplex decode-forward coding scheme for the Gaussian relay channel.

Linking neurogenesis, oligodendrogenesis, and myelination defects to neurodevelopmental disruption in primary mitochondrial disorders

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Mitochondrial remodeling shapes neural and glial lineage progression by matching metabolic supply with demand. Elevated OXPHOS supports differentiation and myelin formation, while myelin compaction lowers mitochondrial dependence, revealing mitochondria as key drivers of developmental energy adaptation.
