Intra-cavity frequency shifted laser pumps for non-degenerate and partially coherent Bragg-Scattering FWM in nonlinear fiber [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
International audienceIn this work the authors experimentally study the problem of non-degenerate four-wave-mixing (FWM) by using a pair of partially coherent pumps, and focus our attention on a specific type of FWM, which is generally called "Bragg ...

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Observing cross-sectional images and averaged optical patterns of photonic crystal fibers using partially incoherent laser light [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the European Optical Society-Rapid Publications, 2013
We couple the coherent laser light and the partially incoherent laser light into the photonic crystal fibers, respectively, and compare the observed fiber cross-sectional images.

RIPK4 function interferes with melanoma cell adhesion and metastasis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
RIPK4 promotes melanoma growth and spread. RIPK4 levels increase as skin lesions progress to melanoma. CRISPR/Cas9‐mediated deletion of RIPK4 causes melanoma cells to form less compact spheroids, reduces their migratory and invasive abilities and limits tumour growth and dissemination in mouse models.

Characterization of Power Absorption Response of Periodic 3D Structures to Partially Coherent Fields

open access: yes, 2016
In many applications of absorbing structures it is important to understand their spatial response to incident fields, for example in thermal solar panels, bolometric imaging and controlling radiative heat transfer.

К вопросу о кипении жидкости с подводом тепла через стенку [PDF]

open access: yes, 1955
The application of digital holographic microscopy offers quantitative phase contrast imaging of reflective and (partially) transparent samples. Low coherent light sources enable an increased resolution in phase shifting digital holography by the ...

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Abnormally autofocusing vortex Swallowtail Gaussian vector beam with low spatial coherence

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2023
The precondition for the application of light beams is the ability to devise light distribution with high precision. Controlling more dimensions for structured light fields is an effective method to improve the ability to devise light distribution.

Fast Escape from Quantum Mazes in Integrated Photonics [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Escaping from a complex maze, by exploring different paths with several decision-making branches in order to reach the exit, has always been a very challenging and fascinating task.

Raman‐based label‐free microscopic analysis of the pancreas in living zebrafish larvae

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Forward stimulated Raman scattering (F‐SRS) and epi coherent anti‐Stokes Raman scattering (E‐CARS) allow label‐free discrimination of distinct subcellular structures in the pancreas of living zebrafish larvae. Given the straightforward applicability, we anticipate broad implementation of Raman microscopy in other organs and across various biomedical ...
