Generative Inverse Design of Metamaterials with Functional Responses by Interpretable Learning
This work introduces random‐forest‐based interpretable generative inverse design (RIGID), a new single‐shot inverse design method for metamaterials using interpretable machine learning and Markov chain Monte Carlo sampling. Once trained on a small dataset, RIGID can estimate the likelihood of designs achieving target behaviors (e.g., wave‐based ...

We conducted a new approach of mine water‐deep geological storage, the results showed that the hydrogeological feasibility of Baotashan coarse sandstone (BCS) was impressive and useful for real project. The effective porosity of BCS aquifers ranged from 1.36% to 3.46% and the capacity of mine water geological storage was 0.455–1.266 Mm3 for 1 km2 in ...

Centralized Patrolling With Weakly-Coupled Agents Using Monte Carlo Tree Search
In this paper, a new optimal multi-agent continuous patrol algorithm is proposed to solve the information gathering problem in dynamic environments. First, the environment is modeled as a layout graph with information attached to vertices.

Performance of Model Predictive Control of POMDPs [PDF]
We revisit closed-loop performance guarantees for Model Predictive Control in the deterministic and stochastic cases, which extend to novel performance results applicable to receding horizon control of Partially Observable Markov Decision Processes. While performance guarantees similar to those achievable in deterministic Model Predictive Control can ...

Abstract Premise Uncarina contains 14 species of woody plants endemic to Madagascar. Its occurrence across dryland biomes on the island make it an interesting system to study the diversification of the flora. Methods Using samples of all species and 512 nuclear loci, we reconstructed phylogenetic trees to examine species relationships and assess their ...

The effect of habitual Western diet and salt‐reduced diet on the levels of systemic blood cytokines was analyzed in a placebo‐controlled nutritional intervention study. The results showed that reduced salt intake did not alter the concentrations of any of the analyzed 34 cytokines in blood.

Interference Coordination Based on POMDP in Multi-Cell OFDMA System
The inter-cell interference coordination(ICIC)of OFDMA system was studied, and a dynamic ICIC algorithm based on the theory of partially observable Markov decision process(POMDP)was proposed. The statistic model of interference and SINR of channel was ...
