Path‐Connected Partially Ordered Sets

The graph of a partially ordered set (X, ⩽) has X as its set of vertices and (x,y) is an edge if and only if x covers y or y covers x. The poset is path‐connected if its graph is connected. Two integer‐valued metrics, distance and fence, are defined for path‐connected posets.

Homogeneous Partially Ordered Sets

In [9], Schmerl classified the countable partially ordered sets which are homogeneous. This classification was extended by Droste who studied partially ordered sets (henceforth to be known as posets) which are 2-homogeneous. In this paper we will survey their results and others on posets which are either homogeneous or partially homogeneous.
