Gas Sensing With Aerogels: A Critical Review on Structure‐Property Correlations and Performance Optimization

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
With high specific surface area, and adjustable interface, aerogel provides a multi‐functional platform for gas sensing. This review systematically links structural parameters (specific surface area, pore size, heterojunctions) to sensing metrics (sensitivity, selectivity, stability), critically evaluates optimization strategies, and outlines future ...

Hydrogen‐Bond Enabled Phosphite Based Intrinsic Flame‐Retardant Solid‐Solid Phase Change Materials Using Catalyst/Solvent‐Free Multi‐Component Reaction for Battery Thermal Management

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The phosphite group endows intrinsic flame retardancy, while the P = O bond enhances intermolecular interactions to realize solid‐solid phase transition. Battery thermal management tests show the materials extend the safe working time of lithium‐ion batteries by 200%. Cone calorimeter tests indicate a 14s delay in ignition time, and reductions of 37.6%,

Activating Ionic Carbon Nitrides via Epitaxial Dyadic Coupling for Efficient Solar‐Driven H2O2 Generation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Epitaxial integration of a C1N1 phase onto KPHI creates a dyadic charge‐transfer nanostructure with strong interfacial electronic coupling. This architecture drives directional electron transfer from KPHI to C1N1, enabling efficient cocatalyst‐free solar H2O2 production.

SPICE‐Compatible Compact Modeling of Cuprate‐Based Memristors Across a Wide Temperature Range

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
A physics‐guided compact model for YBCO memristors is introduced, incorporating carrier trapping, field‐induced detrapping, and a differential balance equation to describe their switching dynamics. The model is compared with experiments and implemented in LTspice, allowing realistic circuit‐level simulations.

Ultrastable Self‐Cross‐linkable Electro‐Optic Materials Based on a Bisanthracene Scaffold

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
A novel bisanthracene‐based self‐cross‐linkable electro‐optic chromophore (TD2) is developed. TD2 exhibits a high r33 of 141 pm/V and a cross‐linked Tg up to 195 °C, retaining 99.75% of its initial EO response after 500 h at 85 °C, showing record‐high thermal stability for single‐molecule self‐cross‐linking EO materials.

Effects of Biotin on a Fluorescein‐Based Photosensitizer Revealed by Multiscale Computational Modeling

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Biotinylation of a fluorescein‐based photosensitizer enhances its performance in PDT through a synergistic dual action. In addition to Type II singlet oxygen generation common to both dyes, the biotinylated system induces stronger membrane perturbation and higher local accumulation in lipid membranes, associated with increased water permeability and ...

Thermally Activated Delayed Fluorescence: An Extended Study of Peripherally Substituted DMAC‐TRZ Analogues

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
A comprehensive experimental and theoretical study is presented of a family of TADF dyes. Comparing the behavior of structurally related dyes, we uncover the subtle and somewhat unexpected role of conformational degrees of freedom associated with peripheral groups that affect the delicate interplay of excited states that governs spin–orbit coupling ...
