A Comparative Study of the Influence of Water and Temperature on the Racemization of Five‐ and Six‐Membered l‐Alanine‐Derived Imides

Racemization of chiral imides in dimethylformamide is shown to increase with increasing water content and temperature. The six‐membered imide ring system is more stable than the five‐membered analogue, with slower racemization under identical conditions and an absence of competing side reactions.

Thiol–Michael Addition to a Quinolin‐2‐One–Isoxazole Dye in Cationic CTABr Micellar Media: Insights From Experiments and Theory

We report the reactivity of DQI toward bisulfite in CTABr micelles. CTABr enhances DQI fluorescence and promotes the reaction by increasing the solubility and local concentration.
