Physical Processes of SiO2 Spherical Particle Formation in Thermal Plasma Flow

Russian Physics Journal, 2018
The paper presents the structural investigations of hollow, spherical powder obtained from the natural siliceous material using the thermal plasma treatment. Experiments show that the obtained hollow SiO2 particles have almost an ideal spherical shape.

The physics of near-earth space plasma and energetic particles in the magnetosphere

Moscow University Physics Bulletin, 2010
The magnetosphere-ionosphere plasma system, like the Earth’s other envelopes, is a complex nonlinear open dissipative system with self-organization. Moreover, it is embedded in the extremely nonstationary environment formed by the solar wind. Explorations that were initiated by the pioneer studies of S.N.

The physics of quark‐gluon plasma and relativistic charged particle systems

Contributions to Plasma Physics, 2003
AbstractQED and QCD describe different systems, but show similar features. An interesting issue is the formation of bound states and their dissolution at high densities, what is described as metallization (plasma phase transition) in Coulomb systems or as hadron to quark‐gluon phase transition in nuclear matter.

Physical effects induced by particle beams artificially injected into space plasmas

Journal of Atmospheric and Terrestrial Physics, 1985
Abstract This paper presents a review of several communications which were presented during the meeting on Active Experiments in Space (Florence, 1984). The experimental results are connected with the study of the physical effects induced by particle beams artificially injected into space plasmas.

Space plasma physics: phenomena induced by charged particle beams.

Science (New York, N.Y.), 2010
The effects of electron beam emissions from Spacelab were recorded with onboard diagnostic instruments. The variation of the Spacelab-shuttle potential with respect to the ambient plasma near the scientific air lock was investigated. Data on the waves and instabilities triggered by the electron beams are discussed. Within the electron gyrofrequency and

Power and particle fluxes at the plasma edge of ITER: Specifications and Physics Basis

2008
As a result of the ITER design review activities the specifications for power and particle fluxes onto plasma facing components (PFCs) have been revisited. The revised specifications for steady-state fluxes are based on 2-D/3-D SOL modelling code predictions with input from experiments in tokamaks, as well as on simple models and empirical ...
