Search for resonant pair production of neutral long-lived particles decaying to bb̄ in pp̄ collisions at s=1.96TeV

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2009
We report on a first search for resonant pair production of neutral long-lived particles (NLLP) which each decay to a bb̄ pair, using 3.6fb-1 of data recorded with the D0 detector at the Fermilab Tevatron collider. We search for pairs of displaced vertices in the tracking detector at radii in the range 1.6-20cm from the beam axis. No significant excess

Measurement of the phase between strong and electromagnetic amplitudes in the decay J/ψ → ϕη

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
The first direct measurement of the relative phase between the strong and electromagnetic amplitudes for a J/ψ decaying into a vector-pseudoscalar final state is performed using 26 energy points of e + e − annihilation data between 3.00 GeV and 3.12 GeV.

Dalitz plot analysis of the D + → K − K + K + decay

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2019
The resonant structure of the doubly Cabibbo-suppressed decay D +→K − K + K + is studied for the first time. The measurement is based on a sample of pp-collision data, collected at a centre-of-mass energy of 8 TeV with the LHCb detector and corresponding

Thermal description of hadron production in e+e- collisions revisited

open access: yes, 2009
We present a comprehensive analysis of hadron production in e+e- collisions at different center-of-mass energies in the framework of the statistical model of the hadron resonance gas.

Non Thermal‐Driven Photocatalytic Ammonia Decomposition at Near‐Room Temperature on a Plasmonic Nanocone Array

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Plasmonic photocatalytic ammonia decomposition occurs at near‐room temperature on a plasmonic Au nanocone array under visible light illumination. The nanostructure efficiently harnesses plasmonic modes, leading to increased reaction rates upon plasmon decay.

Resonance production in high energy collisions from small to big systems

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2018
The aim of this paper is to understand resonance production (and more generally particle production) for different collision systems, namely proton-proton (pp), proton-nucleus (pA), and nucleus-nucleus (AA) scattering at the LHC.

A critical point in the distribution of lepton energies from the decay of a spin-1 resonance

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2019
We consider a spin-1 resonance produced with an arbitrary spectrum of velocities and decaying into a pair of massless leptons, and we study the probability density function of the energy of the leptons in the laboratory frame.

Prospects of Electric Field Control in Perpendicular Magnetic Tunnel Junctions and Emerging 2D Spintronics for Ultralow Energy Memory and Logic Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Electric control of magnetic tunnel junctions offers a path to drastically reduce the energy requirements of the device. Electric field control of magnetization can be realized in a multitude of ways. These mechanisms can be integrated into existing spintronic devices to further reduce the operational energy.

Prompt and nonprompt ψ(2S) production in pPb collisions at s NN $$ \sqrt{s_{\textrm{NN}}} $$ = 8.16 TeV

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
The production of ψ(2S) mesons in proton-lead collisions at a centre-of-mass energy per nucleon pair of s NN $$ \sqrt{s_{\textrm{NN}}} $$ = 8.16 TeV is studied with the LHCb detector using data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 34 nb −1.

A Stopped delta-matter source in heavy ion collisions at 10-GeV/N? [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
We predict the formation of highly dense baryon-rich resonance matter in Au+Au collisions at AGS energies. The final pion yields show observable signs for resonance matter. The Delta1232 resonance is predicted to be the dominant source for pions of small
