Robust tracking-by-detection using a detector confidence particle filter

2009 IEEE 12th International Conference on Computer Vision, 2009
We propose a novel approach for multi-person tracking-by-detection in a particle filtering framework. In addition to final high-confidence detections, our algorithm uses the continuous confidence of pedestrian detectors and online trained, instance-specific classifiers as a graded observation model.

The MCP as a High-Energy Particle Track Detector

1985
Publisher Summary This chapter describes the selection of microchannel plate (MCP) parameters to optimize the performance of an MCP-track detector. The performance of such a detector is presented in the chapter. An MCP was tested as a high-energy particle track detector for application in the direct measurement of very short lifetime of charm and ...

Track-diameter measurements of alpha particles in diacel plastic track detector

Radiation Effects, 1979
Abstract The diameters of alpha particle tracks in diacel plastic track detectors have been measured by etching the plastics from the reverse side. The influence of annealing, variation in temperature of etchant and different radiations, viz. gamma rays, beta rays, ultraviolet rays, infrared rays and neutrons on the track-diameter has been studied. The

Registration of light particles by a CN-track detector

Radiation Effects, 1976
Abstract The validity of the track formation model proposed by Fleischer, Price and Walker was tested for a sensitive cellulose nitrate track detector using protons, deuterons and alpha particles. Quantitative data are given on the threshold energies and etchable track lengths of these particles.

Multi-view Body Tracking with a Detector-Driven Hierarchical Particle Filter

2012
In this paper we present a novel approach to markerless human motion capture that robustly integrates body part detections in multiple views. The proposed method fuses cues from multiple views to enhance the propagation and observation model of particle filtering methods aiming at human motion capture.

On latent track formation in organic nuclear charged particle track detectors

Radiation Effects, 1970
In recent years, in a number of laboratories throughout the world, a considerable amount of effort has gone into the development and the understanding of organic nuclear charged particle track detectors. Even in their developmental stage these detectors have found numerous applications in several scientific fields.
