Bayesian Visual Surveillance, a Model for Detecting and Tracking a variable number of moving objects [PDF]
An automatic detection and tracking framework for visual surveillance is proposed, which is able to handle a variable number of moving objects. Video object detectors generate an unordered set of noisy, false, missing, split, and merged measurements that

Characterization of Heavily Irradiated Dielectrics for Pixel Sensors Coupling Insulator Applications
An increase in the radiation levels during the high-luminosity operation of the Large Hadron Collider calls for the development of silicon-based pixel detectors that are used for particle tracking and vertex reconstruction. Unlike the conventionally used

Radiation damage in the LHCb vertex locator [PDF]
The LHCb Vertex Locator (VELO) is a silicon strip detector designed to reconstruct charged particle trajectories and vertices produced at the LHCb interaction region. During the first two years of data collection, the 84 VELO sensors have been exposed to

MoTIC: Prototype of a Monolithic Particle Tracking Detector with Timing
MoTiC (Monolithic Timing Chip) is a prototype DMAPS Chip that builds on sensor technology developed in the ARCADIA project. The 50 by 50 µm2 pixels contain a small charge collecting electrode with a very low capacitance surrounded by radiation-hard in-pixel electronics. The chip contains a matrix of 5120 pixels on an area of 3.2 by 4 mm2.
